Getting all the young adults together is hard, last Sunday worked for most of us to gather. Adam drove from Western North Dakota...Adam's fiancee Courtney had to work or she would have been here too.
Here they are oldest to youngest! They brighten up our lives! We played games and had a White Elephant gift exchange....and an incredible meal that Andy cooked. Prime rib, twice baked potatoes, carrots, parsnips, popovers and snickers salad and then all kind of Christmas goodies.
It was so quiet in the house after everyone left.
Far Side
Glad you were able to visit with the grands.
ReplyDeleteAndy is one heck of a cook. I bet you could hire him out. :)
What a great gathering, with such fine people. You are so fortunate to have everyone close enough to get together like that. Love the picture, too.
ReplyDeleteI’m so glad you were able to get a picture and they were all able to come. They look like a fine bunch. The meal sounds utterly delicious.
ReplyDeleteWhat a grand family gathering!!
ReplyDeleteIt is hard to find a time when you can gather an entire group! And what a wonderful group it was! So glad you were able to celebrate each other and what a divine meal!
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like a wonderful gathering with people you love. The food also sounds wonderful!
ReplyDeleteYou are so right...the older they get the more difficult it gets to find a time where everyone can come. We have one grandson that is on call Christmas day and weekend...We will miss him this year. Your grands are a good looking group of young adults. Could you send Andy down my way? I would love some a good meal like this and the best part would be him cooking...lol. Wishing you all a wonderful day.
ReplyDeleteOh they are lovely, grandchildren are such a blessing. I'm so glad they were all able to visit!!!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a wonderful day. Merry Christmas a few days early.
ReplyDeleteWonderful - those adult grandkids are a good looking bunch!! Andy sounds like an awesome cook. That's my kind of day - games and visiting, and lots of yummy food TOGETHER.
ReplyDeleteWonderful! Yay for you and Gene for having this celebration and for the grands for finding a time and a way to be together with you!
ReplyDeleteThey look like such a great bunch!! You have 5 grands, same as we do although the second oldest lives in LA and doesn't come back very often :(
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you were able to get together, and the meal sounds amazing! What is snickers salad?
ReplyDeleteChop up Snickers candy bars, peel and chop Granny Smith apples then add cool whip. My Grands love it:)
DeleteLooks like it was an amazing time!
ReplyDeleteOh what a fun gathering for all of you, and that menu sounds so delicious. Glad you had such a fun time together. Take good care. God bless you all.
ReplyDeleteGlad you were able to have them all there at the same time.
