The Blizzard

The Blizzard kept us inside all day Thursday.  I took some photos out the window.  It rained, snowed and we had wind gusts up to 60 mph.  It will be icy out there for sure.

Sadie had a boring day.  She went out a few times to sniff the air.  When it is really cold someone takes her down to the treadmill where she can run off some of her energy!

Far Guy's weekly Infusion was cancelled due to the weather...they rescheduled for today (Friday).

Minnesota weather; Cold but at least it's windy!  High 5F or -15C Low was -16F or -27C.  The wind chill factor is in the -40F range...downright cold.

  3. We were far enough south that we just got quite a bit of rain and lots of wind.

  4. I always loved having a blizzard...if I was warm, snug and dry inside. I didn't even mind going out to tend to the horses. But, I don't envy you for having to head out the next day for the infusion. Bleech! All of the grands and thew littles are so good looking. Your little Peach is a doll! Lucky you!

  6. The storm has blown into Ontario now. It is still quite warm so the precipitation has just been torrential rain here. The wind is crazy, blowing doors open crazy. We are supposed to have a rapid flash freeze this afternoon. We will be needing skates to get around

  7. Poor little pup. At least he has a good window to enjoy. Safe travels to you.

  8. We are still hovering around 2F as I write this Friday morning. The slight breeze makes it much colder. We had some white outs but no significant snow last night.
    Wow, that IS winter!

  10. We've got another storm blowing through today...hunker down because it will likely visit you tomorrow. Thankfully, we experienced only snow, the rain is awful.
    Stay warm and dry!

  11. Would you believe it is Shorts weather here? Yep...we are having record highs. Lots of snow your way. Ice is so dangerous...y'all please be careful. Hopefully today you will have much better weather to have to get out in. I need to take up some of Sadies walking exercise on the tread mill.

  13. We got rain yesterday. It melted about half the snow. Then the temps dropped and some fresh snow dropped on top. So now everything is icy AND snowy! Yikes! I did a good salting on all the walkways this morning.

  14. You sure are in a cold world there. It's too bad that you have to venture out for Far Guy's infusion. Hopefully all goes well.

  16. I couldn't take that cold anymore at all! We can get into the low teens and with a wind chill of a little lower but that's enough! Things are blowing down the street and across yards today with high winds and rain! Stay safe and warm!!

  17. Inside is a good place to be when Mother Nature throws a blizzard!!

  18. Have lived in Florida and Chicago, and what most people don't understand is a blizzard is a Tropical Storm/Cat 1 hurricane with snow instead of rain.

  19. I guess you're getting our wind, but a heck of a lot colder!

  20. Yup! Snowing and windy here, too, but not as windy as up your way. Only around 40mph down here. I hope it was easy getting to FarGuy's appointment today.
