Cuckoo

 Far Guy had a project.

It had so many tiny parts, every time I walked by his work table I shook my head.  He has patience to find all the parts, follow the directions and put it all together.

Sadie on the other hand decided to be a lap dog one day....

We got more rain....real slick out there.  The next 24 hours we are in a Winter Storm watch...snow and wind are forecast.  We will be staying put.  Jen and Andy are painting their bedroom...so everyone has projects.  Jen is on Sabbatical and Andy is home for Christmas Break.

Minnesota weather : Dreary,  high was 38F or 3C and the low was 9f or -3c eh!

Supper was ham, scalloped potatoes, fruit and cornbread.  I puzzled most of the day in between cooking.

  2. The clock looks impossible. It’ll be a masterpiece.

Days are getting longer. Weather sounds depressing, but hopefully it will not last too long.

  4. I have seen those clock puzzle kits and have been very intrigued with them. I thought about getting one for my grandson for Christmas but I was too late. Apparently We are in for a serious ice storm. It was -20C out my door this morning and doesn't look to be warming up significantly until tomorrow.

  5. Wow! That project would drive me cuckoo!! I don't have that kind of patience. Now I wonder if anything/what comes out of the little doors. Do tell.

  6. That is a very ornate cuckoo clock!
I guess if you need to keep warm you could just have Sadie sit on you. :-)
We had our fist freezing night last night. It's still too dark outside to see if we have mush frost.

  8. We also had rain and now snow. That looks like a complicated project. Stay safe and warm while cuddling Sadie.

  12. Give that man an award! The clock is beautifully done! My son asked if I thought his Dad would like something like that....I informed him that The Mister does not care for fiddly puzzly things!

  13. Stay off the ice and keep safe! Projects are a good way to keep one's mind and fingers busy when it is nasty outside. That clock must have taken a lot of patience!

  14. I am so impressed! All those pieces!
I'm feeling better. Addressed my Christmas Cards and got them mailed today. Then started a puzzle. We are 63 degrees right now at 5:40 pm and have winter storm warnings for tomorrow.

  15. The clock is lovely! Here in Montreal we are expecting freezing rain. The worst scenario in Winter, (for myself, anyway), as the conditions become very slippery for both pedestrians and drivers and there is a risk of power failure.

  16. Far Guy truly has a LOT of patience and perseverance! Sadie loves him - - and you - - very, very much.
What color is the bedroom going to be? If you give us the paint name and paint company, we can explore it on the internet. I need to do some more painting inside the house. We have one bedroom that desperately needs it.
    Yummy on the supper!
Speaking of potatoes, have you heard of Rumbledethumps? It's a real thing and I want to make it. I heard about it on Bobby Flay's Christmas Competition shows. I have a friend in church who has been to Scotland and ate it over there. I am going to start with the simplest version and add cabbage only. We will add other stuff when we might make it again.
