1980

A blast from the past...45 years ago.

Christmas 1980 at my parents home at the resort on Straight Lake.

Sunday was a quiet day, I had several naps.  Far Guy is working on a wooden puzzle.

Supper was chicken wild rice soup, salad and a grilled cheese sandwich.

Minnesota weather; High 14F or -10C Low was 2F or -17C.

Only two medical appointments this week!

  1. Hi Connie. I think of you often, especially at this time of year when I put out my Christmas decorations, the little ornaments and woodcarvings you made which I treasure. Hope you have a wonderful Christmas and a peaceful, healthy New Year ahead.
    Love,
    Cynthia

  3. Wanted to say how much I really like your header. It is so colorful and perfect for the season. What a great photo to have in your treasure box. Isn't it so much fun to go back and see pictures of the past? My in-laws had a sofa just like the one posted in the picture. so neat...

  4. Look at that carpet, along with the couch - the 80's were certainly colourful! Your girls look a lot like you.

That year, we only had our oldest son. (The other three came later 😏)
I wish you a wonderful, blessed Christmas.

  8. A great old picture. We had a quiet day as well. Played Scrabble instead of Dominoes for a change.

  9. I had a couch similar to that. Our lives ran the same time frames. Love seeing your family in 1980..

That style of red and white dress was very popular as my daughter had one as well.
