Friday all day

Finally done with appointments!  Whew what a week...only trouble is one appointment lead to another three appointments in a couple of weeks.  My baby brother and his bride suggested that we get a camper and park it in the clinic parking lot, they could share it with us as they have their fair share of appointments!

We had a mostly quiet day on Friday.  It was very smoky outside again ...not good to be outside when the air quality is very unhealthy.  It looks like bad air quality for a few more days.  So far this summer we have endured 30 plus days of wildfire smoke.

This weekend is the All School Reunion.  Far Guy would like to attend but the air quality will keep him at home.  I have absolutely no desire to go to my class gathering.  Hope they have fun!

We had some wonderful fried potatoes, bacon, eggs and corn on the cob for supper!  Minnesota weather: High was 78F or 26C Low was 53F or 12C eh!

  1. We have been lucky so far, no smoke. Yet anyway.

  2. That was a great idea about the camper! LOL! Your supper sounded delish. Iowa is getting the smoke too....down here in AR we are clear and in the 80's until next week and then back to the 90's...ugh!

  3. Sometimes staying home and appreciating one another feels like the perfect way to spend the day.

  4. We drove all the way across Minnesota on Thursday, I do not think I saw the sun the entire day due to the smoke.

  5. Fried potatoes, bacon, eggs and sweet corn - that's a favorite kind of supper for us. Must be a Minnesota thing. The air quality was awful here yesterday, but it rained early this morning and the air smells cleaner - for awhile anyway.

  7. The air was terrible here in the morning. It did improve by afternoon. The camper sound like a brilliant plan! I have not attended one of my class reunions.

  8. Fried potatoes sound good. I go to some of my reunions. Last time there were only about 5 of my class there.

  9. Camper in the parking lot cracked me up!
Glad that week is over for appointments. Yes, there are always more to come.
I used to attend our reunions until I moved away from the Twin Cities and couldn't travel anymore. Never went to an All School one before, though.
It has been a smokey summer. I feel badly for Canada!
    Happy weekend! :)

  11. Oh that sounds like a yummy supper! Sorry that the smoke is keeping you inside, it's hard to enjoy summer looking out the window.

  12. Glad your appointments are finished for now. Now wouldn't that make people sit up and notice if you camped in the clinic parking lot.
The smoke left us briefly yesterday, but was back this morning. I feel like we haven't had many days without it this summer. I said to my daughter, yesterday, that I'm afraid this will be our summers going forward.

  13. Our air quality for today says it's "poor" too but I can't tell if I go outside. It must be to the wildfires also? I'm unsure. Nothing smells or looks different here. If I had lung issues like FG I could probably tell immediately! Dan and I have never gone to any of our class reunions either except this last one....our 50th. And we really didn't "go" as we didn't buy tickets for the main hoopla on the Saturday night....we only went to the free gathering on the lakefront the evening before. We saw some folks we knew from school but other than that, we had enough. We stayed about an hour or so & left. Not interested....same as you. Glad that the appointments, at least for this week, are behind you folks. Love, Andrea xoxo
