Thursday's Infusion went okay only one stick but the IV bag had a slow leak. If it isn't one thing it is another.
We went to Hobby Lobby after Far Guy was done, he needed a piece of basswood for carving and I needed wanted some yarn. I had quite a list...I decided on the May Basket design and needed paper etc, and I needed some do dads for cards.
Far Guy, Little Elvis and I had a nap in the afternoon. In the evening I cleaned the kitchen at Jen and Andy's Air B&B...we had quite a crew... Jen, Andy, Noah, Adam, Maddie and me. It is all ready for the next group.
We are supposed to have a Winter Storm starting on Thursday night into Friday and possibly Saturday.
We all have enough projects to keep us busy!
Here is Jen's latest project...she has a completed flimsy.
She has been working on this robot quilt since October. Well done Jen! She sews much better than I ever did.
Far Side
I’d call Jen’s project a nightmare. It looks impossible to me. You both pick difficult projects making me feel so elementary in my picks.
ReplyDeleteYou both are super creative and talented. You have the patience of saints - - between quilting and your crochet projects. Things that take that long might not get done by me for sure! The pattern for the quilt is so very cute. It is the first I have ever seen one done with robots. Who will be the lucky recipient or is that not being told yet?
ReplyDeleteThat quilt top is so cute! Nice job, Jen!
ReplyDeleteWow! That quilt is really something - so much detail.
ReplyDeleteStay dry and warm!
What a cute quilt! We finally got our first snow for the year. Our big storm trickled to one inch and it wasn't even covering the road or sidewalk when I got up this morning. I told my husband the gas will evaporate in his snowblower. The grandkids are very disappointed that there is not a snow day. I did see a funny today.
ReplyDelete"The roads are so slippery that my car slid right in to the craft store parking lot again"
Some little boy is probably going to be over the moon to receive such a quilt!
ReplyDeleteWhat a FUN quilt top! Please tell Jen, it’s awesome.
ReplyDeleteI can't even grasp how much work goes into making a quilt.
ReplyDeleteJen's quilt looks impossible! Kudos to her.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you are all set for the coming storm. :)
Stay safe during your storm. It will be a good excuse for doing some crafting :)
ReplyDeleteI can only imagine how many pieces that quilt has. Love it! Glad Far Guy only had one stick but I'm guessing that IV bag made quite a mess. We didn't get the snow predicted for yesterday. We ended up with about 1 or so inches that was gone before I was out of bed! It rained most of the day though and that is very needed by the farmers.
ReplyDeleteTake care and stay warm today.
Blessings,
Betsy
Cute robots!
ReplyDeleteGlad Far Guy's infusion went OK.
ReplyDeleteYes, you definitely have enough projects to keep you busy if there's a Winter storm.
WOW! Well done, Jen!
ReplyDeleteVery cool quilt! I have decided to take up knitting again and bought a pattern and yarn for a beanie that has cables. Should be a workout for the old brain! :-)
ReplyDeleteThat robot quilt is incredible! As a quilter, I know just how much work went into that!!!
ReplyDeleteMY daughter-in-law would LOVE that quilt.
ReplyDeleteCatching up!
ReplyDeleteThis quilt is awesome, I bet kids would love it too.
I'm not that good at sewing either. Well not quilts anyway and I'm years out of practice.
It is an amazing quilt. My one grandson would do a little dance if he saw it. Janitorial responsibilities with a large group is a good thing.
ReplyDeleteHopefully the storm won't be too bad. In any case, you sound ready for it.
ReplyDeleteSo do you mean a winter storm next week or right now.....since it is already Friday?
ReplyDeleteThe storm will be arriving this evening (Friday) and now it goes into Sunday.
ReplyDeleteI love Jen's quilt top! I haven't had much time for quilting lately but I'd love to get back into it. Perfect timing for you to have a trip to Hobby Lobby with that storm coming in soon. You will both have plenty to work on with your purchases. Stay warm!
ReplyDeleteWow! That's an amazing quilt, much more of a project than I would ever try.
ReplyDeleteWow! That flimsy has been a lot of work!
