May Baskets! I decided on a pattern and began cutting out parts.
I got quite a bit done yesterday ...all the basket parts are cut out and will be assembled at home. I was making good progress and then had a mechanical failure that Far Guy helped me with...I needed someone with stronger fingers to wrench on an allen wrench. In the meantime I lost/misplaced/threw away the smallest round die that cut out the shiny do hickies in the upper left...simple circles...I probably have a similar die at home so I put this project away for now.

Oh no! Those little parts are hard to keep track of. You need a little magnetic tray, I think. So do I--lol! ;) Looks like these are going to be cute!
ReplyDeleteA good morning from the great state of Michigan. I just wanted you to know that I enjoy reading your blog every morning.
ReplyDeleteI'm seeing a face of some sort based on the eyes and ears. And a pretty bow too. Hope you find your missing piece.
ReplyDeleteYou are already putting your die cut machine to good use. Looking forward to seeing this years May baskets come together. They are always so cute!
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to see the finished product!
ReplyDeleteI like the idea of a magnetic tray for you. Great idea. These baskets look like they are going to ever so cute.
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to seeing the finished baskets!

May baskets are such a sweet childhood memory.
ReplyDeleteI had to dig through piles of garbage to find my tossed heart doctor appointment sheet. It looks too much like junk mail. It is now coffee grounds stained but I can still read it to get phone numbers. I am always loosing my tape measures.
ReplyDeleteThinking about May baskets is one way to welcome spring and cancel winter. :-)
ReplyDeleteWow, that is really early, even for you. Don't we have another month and a half to go through before you need them? Leave it to your amazing ability to get things done! :-)
ReplyDeleteThis happens to me a lot - but I know you'll find that small round die, and the project can continue, and I'll look forward to seeing it all put together!❤❤
ReplyDeleteI love your May Baskets every year and it looks like you've got quite the design going for this coming May Day too. Can't wait to see it. I have great memories of May Days from years gone by and delivering baskets and receiving them too. Always such fun. I love that you continue that awesome tradition.
ReplyDeleteIs your basket going to be Minnie mouse this year? All the cut outs remind me of her.
ReplyDeleteGood thing you have a few weeks to get the May baskets done. ( I hope the missing die shows up).
ReplyDeleteGood for you making your baskets so early. I'm amazed at how much you get done every day.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Betsy
Were you able to find the same die at home?
ReplyDeleteHappy Whisk, Not yet but I am sure I have a die that will work or a hole punch!
ReplyDeleteoh they are going to be cute! I better get some thoughts going and do some this year!
