Swag and a Flag

More decorations went up.

My friend Susie (she likes being called Susie cause it sounds younger than Susan) made me a swag!

Swag

I put it up outside right by the door. We are looking way more Christmasy now!

Flag for December

I decided on the Christmas Goose flag for now, I can always switch it out as I have just a few Christmas flags.  I think it looks like a grumpy goose.

We enjoyed a nice day here about 40 F that would be  4 C eh!  It was lovely outside…we went for a walk and fed birds.  Far Guy ran a vehicle to town for an oil change while I stayed home.  I cleared off my desk, did laundry and a whole bunch of little projects that had piled up.

Our downstairs tree is in progress.

  1. I like your swag, and that goose only looks grumpy because he's got a bow around his neck. Nice flag! :-)

  2. We had 50 degrees two days ago. Tom and I put up our Christmas tree on our front porch and hung lights on it. Your place is beginning to look very Christmasy.

  3. The swag is very pretty. You made me laugh with Susie sounding younger than Susan. :-). The poor goose may realize that his goose is cooked for Christmas. Ha!

  5. Great minds think alike! I took my car in yesterday for an oil ch ange too but it didn't need it. The swag is lovely....what a sweet gift. Yes, it does look like a grumpy goose but it's still festive! There are lots of grumpy people this time of year...go figure!?!? They must not be retired! LOL!

  7. Very festive! We had a sunny 40 degree day yesterday and another today. We're going to be spoiled. I just hope the weather stays decent for next weekend when our kids are driving here.

  10. The swag is a beautiful and thoughtful gift! We had much more snow than usual this Fall but it looks like this coming week will be in the 40s. I'll take it! I agree with DJan, it looks like that goose doesn't like the ribbon. I love all the different flags you display!

  11. Little projects drive you crazy. the best way to clear things up is to attack the whole thing at once.

  13. I like the swag Susie made. My favourite aunt was called Susie most of her life, then she said she preferred Sue. It was hard to make the change. I kept forgetting and calling her aunt Susie. She was killed in a terrible car accident age 90. At her 90th birthday party she said she didn't want to see 91... she didn't.

  14. Betsy said what I was thinking about that goose. :-)
We were outside today cleaning up after a big wind storm yesterday afternoon. Fortunately we were not among those thousands who lost power.

  15. The banner is a well done artwork. It looks good outside and has a different theme about it than the typical snowmen or saints. We had banners at the old place but they went to the wayside a few years before we moved.
