My Mother likes flowers. Here are some photos of her flowers just a few days ago.
Mums
A bed of Petunias still blooming their hearts out.
Her Morning Glories are out in the open and sadly they froze…BUT
I made a birthday card for her so she can remember how pretty they were.
My Mom is 86 today…we will go for lunch with all my cousins and we will have pie. Dad will come along he likes Sour Cream and Raisin Pie too and he was 89 just a few days ago!
A very Happy Birthday to your Mother.
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday, Far Mom! :-)
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to your Mom & Dad - enjoy a slice of pie for me, too.
ReplyDeleteShe certainly has a green thumb.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to your mom and dad. It is nice they are still with you.
Blessings.
I love those "mums"...what kind are they? And her purple pansies were gorgeous...how thoughtful of you to make her a card with your photo. I bet she loved it! My ex's grandfather loved raisin pie and it was never on any menu around where he lived so I would make him one on his birthday. Have a great day and wish your Mother and Father a very Happy Birthday!
ReplyDeleteSam, I am not sure what the name of that mum is, it is beautiful :)
DeleteYou did say they got all their events out of the way just in one month. Your mom's flowers are doing great. Sour cream raisin is one of my favorites but I like all pie. The glories have a great deep color.
ReplyDeleteI love the morning glory card...what a great way for her to enjoy them all winter.
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday to your Mom! Hoping she has a great day.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to your Mother who is a couple months younger than I am! I see where you get your talent for raising flowers! I share your apparent family love of PIE! Yum yum.

ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to your sweet mother! She has some beautiful flowers.. Petunias are a favorite of mine, too. And the morning glory card is so pretty, she'll enjoy having that!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to your mother and I love her flowers.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful flowers! Happy Birthday to your mom, and belatedly to you papa, too. I have always preferred pie to birthday cake. Not so sure about raisin though!
ReplyDeleteLovely flowers . I still have some in bloom here to . Happy Birthday to your mum !
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday to your Mom and a belated Happy Birthday to your Dad!
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday to your Mom. Some flowers are developed to be late bloomers and the warm weather doesn't hurt.
ReplyDeleteBirthday wishes to your mom, love her flowers!!!! Blessings Francine.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to your mom and dad!
ReplyDeleteYour mom's flowers are beautiful, that's for sure! And the card you made with the morning glories on it, is so lovely. Wish I was going along for those birthday treats.....I sure love sour cream raisin pie and can rarely, if ever, find it around here! We've had it at the Norske Nook over in Minnesota a couple of times, but that was a long time ago! Heavenly! Do enjoy your fun outing. Wishing your parents very Happy Birthdays!
ReplyDeleteYour mom has a colorful, gorgeous flower garden!
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday to your Mom. She loves flowers just like my mother did too. Didn't matter what kind, she loved them all.
ReplyDeleteThat's right! The October celebration continues! Happy birthday to your mom...AND your dad. Glad you captured those beautiful morning glories before the frost hit! Beautiful photo :)
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful to reach that age so gracefully! Not going to take part in the sour cream and raisin pie, however. Glad your mom is able to enjoy her flowers. My mother's last effort was to trip her rose bushes in October.
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday to you Mom, Connie!!!
