Harvest Moon!
That was my best shot last night. At least it had an orange glow. If I stare at it long enough I can see a man in the moon face.
I volunteered at the Museum all day yesterday. Painting. I painted until my bad shoulder started to ache. The AmeriCorps kids all seven of them came into the museum to help paint. The fellow that was injured in the freak accident last week was with the group. He told me that the van that they jacked up to get unstuck fell onto his back and that he sustained soft tissue injuries but that nothing was broken. He was on light duty…so I gave him a little paint roller and put him in charge of drips. Everything needs two coats of paint..we are about 75% done and ran out of paint. The paint all came from a grant..so we will try to get the same paint…if not perhaps we can match the color.
I am tired. Far Guy said I was “cranky”..maybe so.. it was a long day:(
Painting would make anyone crankeeeeee!! You are so dedicated to the museum to volunteer to get painting done!!

ReplyDeleteGreat photo of the moon. I love to see the "face" on the moon, but wonder why the face is sometimes visible and other times, not. It's a mystery to me because the moon does not rotate. Can you solve this mystery?
ReplyDeleteMaybe Home Depot or Lowe's would contribute what's needed to finish the project. Call on volunteers to complete it. Ask high schools/local colleges if students need service hours.

Great shot of the moon! Painting is not an easy job that is for sure, especially when reaching above your head.!

That young man was soooo lucky!! I hope you can get paint to match. Remember--there will be so many things in that room that it won't matter if it is just close enough. ;)
ReplyDeleteRest that shoulder. I tore a rotor cuff (on my "good" arm by overusing it-duh!) and it is no picnic when it acts up. So glad you got the help from those kids!! :) :)

ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you at least had help this time...seven! Well, maybe six and a half...that young guy in the freak accident was certainly fortunate nothing more than "soft tissue" sustained damage. Wow. On his back!

ReplyDeleteWhat?! No pictures of the paint crew? The harvest moon was incredible and very light outside all night. Dirt told me I was missing out on several more hours of outside work. I told him.... well you can imagine, after all Far Guy said you were crabby after your long day.
