The last days of Summer are upon us. School is starting in most states, some North Dakota schools started this week. Minnesota public schools do not start until after Labor Day.
This little girl with her sparkly shoes on the wrong feet started her Senior Year...hard to believe that she is old enough to be a Senior in High School. The photo was taken a long time ago.
Minnesota Weather: High 83F or 29C Low was 64F or 18C eh. AND it was very humid.
Supper was pizza, I declared it a day off of cooking after I picked up groceries in town.
The lawn is turning brownish in full sun areas...August is upon us.
Far Side
I love the red shoes. 👠 It’s priceless. I hope her year is great.
ReplyDeleteWe got a little cooler this week. High was only 95. September is near.
They look like the ruby red slippers from The Wizard of Oz. We had rain the other day which cooled things off a bit but now we have the humidity too.
ReplyDeleteSo cute!
ReplyDeleteYup for ND. Was Ian and Liam's first day of school yesterday. Always lets us know fall is on the way when the kids go back to school. They do grow up so fast!
ReplyDeleteWOW! Those flowers are amazing. School started here on August the 6th. SISH! Early
ReplyDeleteSchools have started around here too. My grands in Sioux Falls started yesterday and the grands in Canton did on Tuesday. Here in Mitchell it was Wednesday. A couple of smaller area schools started last week already. We've had so much rain in the past 2 weeks that all of the brownish parts of the lawn are green again.
ReplyDeleteThat is an adorable photo!
ReplyDeleteThat picture of the shiny shoes on the wrong feet is so cute!!!
ReplyDeleteI love the wrong foot ruby slippers!
ReplyDeleteOur schools in New York don't go back until Labor Day, either but across the border in Pennsylvania they are starting just about now. The years do fly, don't they. I love those ruby shoes.
ReplyDeleteWe hare heading for 90 degrees today and for the next few days. Our almpost greened up lawn will start browning again.
ReplyDeleteSchool starts here after Labor Day. It used to be a time to celebrate for our retired teacher friends, but now it's just another day. Even our little kids have "retired" from K-12 schools.
the cutest picture of those feet wearing the red shoes. I hope her senior year is more than she could have imagined. prayers for safety to surround her each day. some days are meant for taking a break from the kitchen!!
ReplyDeleteI love the photo of the wee shoes. Congrats to the young lady.
ReplyDeleteWhen my son was about that age, he'd put his rubber boots on opposite feet. When it was pointed out to him, that his boots were on the wrong feet, he informed us that he had no other feet. :)
Our schools start on September 2, the day after Labour Day here in Canada.
Too cute!
