Up North

We had a combined 5 Doctors appointments on Tuesday and Wednesday Up North in Grand Forks, ND  2 for me and 3 for Far Guy.  All is well, other than we are aging...no cure for that.

We went out for supper with Andy and Jen to a new place (Helix). My steak was good....my only complaint was they make their own steak sauce and I like Heinz 57.  Far Guy did not eat his crunchy green beans and I thought they were delicious.  This new place rivals Harry's and they have mostly gluten free options.

Sadie was great company...she woke me up in the morning...first she jumps on the bed and lays down on top of you and licks your face, then your hands covering your face all the while her tail wags 90 miles per hour.  That is Sadie for you.

Someone bought her a new toy.   She likes it.

Pet Co is a great store.

We are back home safe and sound.

A few trees are beginning to change color.

  3. Having a single doctor appointment in a week stresses me out. I can't fathom five in a single day!

I'm a purist, I like my steaks unadulterated with sauces, well except for maybe a pat of butter while it is resting.

  4. So glad the appointments were blah. I just can't imagine the logistics of getting each of you to each appointment at the right times and not running late into the next appointment! Good job!

  6. That dog loves you so very much! You are like the favorite Grandma who comes to visit and gives quality time as well as toys. Isn't it wonderful to be so cherished? Very thankful for all your routine appts and a good night out. I, too, like the crunchy green beans - - but not my husband either. He wants them cooked to almost mush like his mama used to do.

Dinner out too, and then the morning greeting by Sadie. A great little trip.

  10. We went for our flu jabs on Tuesday. It was obviously old people jab day. Some really ancient looking people walked a lot faster than us. I felt pretty grim for 48 hours, but getting the jab is so much better than getting flu. And tomorrow the Chef has yet another appointment with his lung specialist. At least, we hope he is seeing the professor, but he won’t know until he gets there. So many appointments.

  14. Who could it have been, the person who bought the new toy for Sadie? She seems to really like it.

  15. Sadie has such an expressive furry face. She loves you!! Glad you could get all those appointments done at once. We did our flu and Covid shots yesterday. I'm a little achy today, but not bad.
