Rainbow of colors

One more project completed!

I finished up the baby blanket I was working on.  It was a fun project.   It was Mosaic Crochet a pattern called Apache Tears.   Each row is a different color.   I have enough yarn left over to make a couple more baby blankets!  When I order yarn I do it up good!

Can you tell the baby is a boy ...hence the blue border!

I found a book to send along and a thermal sleeper....the package is on the way to Seattle where my Nephew and his wife live...the virtual baby shower is this weekend.  I have never attended a virtual baby shower before...it should be interesting.  We may get to see the baby in August when his parents visit Minnesota!

We had a busy day yesterday...I had some eye tests...and after that I had a Dental Appointment because I cracked a tooth and couldn't chew anything...it is all fixed now.   Two more appointments for us this week, Far Guy's usual and another eye test for me.

  1. The blanket is gorgeous and will be very warm.
Praying your eyes are okay and the tests show the information needed by the doctor.

  5. That is such a beautiful blanket Connie. I know it will be well-loved and snuggled with for a long, long time. That book is wonderful too. I'm still crocheting on Piper's blanket. It seems to be taking a long, long time.
    Blessings,

  8. That is a great pattern! I love giving a children's book too when I gift a baby quilt. A handmade gift and a book - perfect gifts!! My friends (all teachers) held a Baby Book Shower for my daughter when my first grandchild was born.

  14. I am in awe of your crochet skills.
That is the most intricate looking pattern.
Now, is this the one that the back side of it is striped?

  15. What a gorgeous blanket! And I'm glad your tooth is fixed. Had a dentist appointment myself this week and have to have a back molar extracted. Not fun, but better than an implant and tons of money. :-(

  16. All sweet gifts! I hope you get to see him in August.
I think a lot of people are catching up on appointments now that they are vaccinated. It is so nice to go and not be so scared of catching anything! :)

  19. What a beautiful blanket! And adorable book too. My nephew and his wife had a "drive by" baby shower last spring. You could drive by the house and drop the gift in the driveway. They were sitting in the tree lawn for social distanced visiting with masks. We weren't leaving the house so we had our gift sent from a vendor.

  22. Great work on that wonderful baby blanket.
I attended a virtual baby shower in January. The expectant mother, my niece, lives in Boston, clear across the country from me. It was a great way to get us all together.

  23. The baby blanket is stunning. Colors and patterns are wonderful. Our grandson sent us a video tonight thanking us for his birthday presents. He was coached a little but he is so cute that it made our day.
