Thoughts of Spring

We wish Spring would get here faster!

Far Guy took away the Electric Snow Shovel...that piece of equipment saved my shoulders from many aches and pains.  No worries my other snow shovel is still near the door.  I expect that we will get more snow before Spring really gets here.

I bought a new stamp.

A Trillium.  It was on the sale table...truth be told I would have bought it anyway even if it had been regular price.

These will be cards ...eventually.  The shiny one  on the right is done with a pearl watercolor paint.  Far Guy and I both agreed that it was TOO much.

Simple is better...the rest were done with Prismacolor pencils, watercolors and a glitter pen.
If Spring cannot be here yet...working with Spring like images is the next best thing!

The snow is melting and revealing many twigs and branches that litter the yard.  Snow really hides lots of "stuff."
Our Trillium will be blooming in about six weeks.

  2. Love trillium! I also love the anticipation of spring. Every day we get further into April the chance of another snow storm goes down.

  3. I love the trillium, along with all those other little flowers that appear and then poof... are gone until next spring.

  4. I saw my first trillium on the trail on Thursday. Unfortunately someone had picked it and dropped it there. :-(

  7. The cards are lovely, you're very talented. Good to hear the snow continues to disappear, but you're correct it tends to cover what will be more work to clean up. My front patio is covered in pine cones and evergreen needles. It's raining here today so clean-up will have to wait.

  8. Here in Denver tis 70 degrees, but since April can be the snowiest month, we also expect more. If it happens I decided I'll hire a local kid. Love the flowers! I dont to yard work but my sister the plant whisperer has begun her spring cleaning up.

  9. I really like your trillium stamp and cards. Trillium are very special to me. I do like their old fashioned name, too, Wakerobins.

We've been getting light rain! Snow banks are sinking fast.

  11. That is a wonderful design. The finished works look like they could be framed and placed on the wall. I have to figure out how to get the gas out of my snowblower and then where am I going to store it That last storm almost did me in so I am glad that season is gone. You should be getting a lot warmer comparing to what is around you.

  12. You can create your own trillium while waiting on Mother Nature — how fun! Maybe it will make the 6 more weeks of waiting a little shorter.

  14. Snow hides stuff and it's mostly dirt.

  15. Beautiful new stamp!
The snow disappears and not only twigs appear but also small stones. Where do they come from anyway!! I've hired M to pick them up. I told him I'd pay him 5 cents a rock and would show him what size was too small to count. We'll see how this will go.

  20. Your art work is so lovely. One of these days I need to try making some cards but I need to get supplies....maybe the next trip to Mountain Home. It looks so relaxing and enjoyable although I'm not sure mine would be as professional looking as yours...in fact I'm sure of it! LOL! Great job!
