My Mom works on Christmas Gifts all year round. She worked on this one after Christmas last year.
This is a small quilt perfect for a table or the top of a cleared off desk IF that ever happens!
I still have two little crazy quilts my grandmother made me. We used them as lap blankets, napping blankets, and then baby blankets too. They are perfect. When I settle down eventually, I think I will make some. The last quilts I made still are being used today...20 yrs later too!
Pretty colors and very nice quilt. My mom collected them and when she died, her daughters (including me) took the ones we liked. I wore mine all out, sadly. :-)
Lovely quilt! It looks like an antique one or vintage which is my favorite and hard to duplicate. I'm just getting back into quilting now since Christmas is over.
What a special gift of love from your Mom. That is why I started making quilts - so I could have a way to give my love to my loved ones when I was not there.
Your mom’s quilt is so beautiful. She does a great job with color and design. My mom use to make lap robes and banner-like pieces for hanging. When I cleared out the house people preferred taking them as they had so many quilts from her already. We are a balmy 50 degrees and our new car wash has a dozen palm trees in a row.
