We went out on a boat called the Lady Ann
It was a fun outing we all enjoyed spending the morning out on the water.
Later that day, we went by the Farmer's Market and enjoyed some shaved ice (grape) and walked around. Far Guy purchased a Christmas ornament for our collection. We bought some ribs for supper from a vendor. All the kids went on a Manta Ray adventure that evening.
I spent some time repacking suitcases ...the next day would be our last day in Hawaii.
Far Side
What a great trip! I've been on a couple of those whale watching boats, but we never saw them at all on one, and just a glimpse on the other. Lucky you! :-)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great adventure ... I am betting you guys got tired out!
ReplyDeleteHow exciting to see those whales.
ReplyDeleteYour vacation sounds wonderful!
ReplyDeleteSeeing those whales must have been awesome!
ReplyDeleteThe perfect way to end a trip - seeing the whales breach would be exciting.
ReplyDeleteVERY COOL!
ReplyDeleteAfter that very rocky start, what a wonderful time you have been having! Great captures of the whales.
ReplyDeleteI love whale watching! We spend a lot of time doing that when we go to the Oregon coast and also Hawaii. They never fail to thrill me with their massive size. I’m so glad your vacation got so much better. Those first few days were rough weren’t they? Blessings always, Betsy
ReplyDeleteThis trip just keeps getting better and better!
ReplyDeleteSeeing the whales was something! I've heard of other people never even catching a glimpse. Dolphins are so entertaining. What a trip! Nice to see pics of you all--well, except for the photographer--LOL! ;)
ReplyDeleteWhat an incredible vacation! I love the expanse of water in that first picture!
ReplyDeleteNo whales in the Minnesota lakes. That had to be fun and it was nice that the whales cooperated. Our kids in Maine go to see them in the Atlantic and all they get is a nice boat ride. Going home has to be somewhat difficult. What a great experience. The whole climate and way of life will be a part of the memories and I am glad some of the family were with the two of you.
ReplyDeleteWow - what a great adventure and your shots are amazing!
ReplyDeleteAmazing pictures of the whales!! We've been lucky enough to see whales a few times from the shore... mostly in Washington and Oregon.
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful photos
ReplyDeleteYour holiday just gets better and better!
ReplyDeleteWhales? Oh WOW! I’m glad you did better than we did on our dolphin tour when we didn’t see any dolphins. (We see them all the time free from the beach but we paid lots of money to not see them from a boat!). You got some wonderful photos. I hope you’re going to tell us about the manta ray tour tomorrow.
ReplyDeleteWhales are majestic animals. I'm glad you saw them. I've seen them from the air and you get a much more complete view.
ReplyDeleteLike some comments above, we have been fortunate to see whales from the shore on the Oregon coast. I have yet to see Orcas however, even though we have resident pods here.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you Minnesotans got to see whales!
Love your whale and dolphin pictures...so cool! Looking like you've had a most wonderful vacation. I'd love to go there someday. I guess if we keep putting it off though, we never get there. I'm glad you got there, and shared it all with us!
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures of one of my favorite animals...I think they are so beautiful! What a great thing to do and the manta ray outing sounded interesting too. I'm going to miss your pictures of Hawaii and your adventure!
ReplyDeleteI know that was a memorable event watching the whales! Ribs for dinner sounds so good. I love the family pics.
ReplyDeleteI've done this!!!
