Hawaii: Day Eight

I was up very early in the morning (before dawn), the sky was clear and I was able to see the Southern Cross just above the southern horizon….that was a real treat for me.

Flowers
I caught up on blog reading while doing laundry, had several naps after a cool off in the pool.  The kids went Parasailing.

Far Guy rested, read and just enjoyed the breeze on the lanai.

We watched people down at the beach. The palm trees swayed in the breeze.

It was a lovely sunset. We enjoyed a day of relaxing!

  4. Hey, we watched Hawaii Five-o last night. You stayed in beautiful place. You day sounded like a vacation with the sunrise in the morning and the breezes in the palm trees. Resting in warmth unlike what you are doing right now in the Minnesota breezes.

  6. I’ve never seen the Southern Cross in the sky and always thought i would — in Australia. Never say never, but the odds aren’t looking good!

  8. How wonderful to be able to take a true day of rest while on vacation! Too often we wear ourselves out trying to see and do everything.

  10. When we traveled we usually were on the go, seeing and doing as much as possible. Now I would want that day off to just relax and soak up the ambiance of a new place.

  15. Relaxing in the warmth is the best! Glad you got to 'kick back'. I think too many times people do too much on their vacations not wanting to miss out on the sights and wanting to get the most out of all the money they spent to get there! Looks like you had the perfect spot to relax in.
