sNOw

Yes we got snow on Thursday night. Technically this is our second snow, the first one was last weekend when there were flakes in the air.

Snow Oct 5 2018

If I had gotten up earlier Friday morning I am certain the whole ground was white.  It began to rain as the morning progressed and the snow was history.  I will have to wait a few days for the leaves to dry out to mulch them again.

The Flu shot has me a little wiped out.  I have an area on my behind that has a temperature and feels like it is as big as a basketball…but softball size is more like it.  Far Guy got his shot in the arm and cannot even tell where it is.  I should be so lucky. We both got our flu shots on Thursday October 4.

My Dad was not feeling up to going to Bingo this week… maybe next week.

I worked on Christmas ornaments yesterday.  The last 11 are being painted!  Yeah me a few more days and I can put the paints away.

  1. I'm jealous you've already had a bit of snow.

I don't bother with the flu shot. End up sick more if I have it than if I don't.

Glad you're almost done with the Christmas ornaments.

  2. Hard to believe winter is on its way again. We're still having afternoons in the 70s.

  3. I'll get my flu shot this weekend, in the arm. Sorry to hear about how hard it is for you, and feeling sick besides. :-(

  5. Snow on the ground already. Not really any surprise as it has been so cold. None here--unless we got flakes I never saw.

I hope your behind is less sore soon. I am so jealous you are almost done with Christmas ornaments. We have a plan but haven't really even started on our Christmas cards. I better get moving in that room--LOL!

  6. Snow already! I still can't believe it is already October. It seems like once we get to the end of October it might as well be Christmas the time goes so fast!

Didn't you have a bad reaction from your flu shot last year? I sure hope this one is easier on you. They now give a stronger one for those over 65 (which includes me) and that always makes me a little nervous. Some people have more trouble with them than others and you must be one of the unlucky ones. Feel better!

  7. With your poor sore behind I guess you worked on those ornaments standing up!!
    Hope that gets better quickly.

  8. The middle of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, near Marquette, got quite a bit of sticking snow, but it didn't last long. Was pretty to look at from down here. I'm not ready for snow yet. Our leaves are just beginning to turn.

  9. I haven't been sending you snow. Ours is going south along the mountains. We've had enough snow for now and would like a little nice stuff.

  10. Strange how some people get a flu shot and it wipes them out others barely notice they have had the shot.

  11. Great progress on your ornaments! I am not yet looking forward to snow, I hope it is another month or so before we get any. I haven't gotten my flu shot yet and now I have a cold :-( Hope your softball disappears soon and you start to feel better.

  12. I get them in the arm and the spot stays sore for weeks afterwards. I know the snow is coming because I can feel it in the air.

  13. We get our flu shots in the arm. tom's was sore for several days. I barely felt mine at all.
We think it is chilly here when it barely reaches 60 with the sun shining. Snow already would do us in.

  14. We drove across Montana Wyoming and S. Dakota today and there was snow in the passes and on the mountain tops. A storm is supposed to hit tonight through Monday evening...right behind us, so I’m glad we got through when we did.
Dennis and I are scheduled to get our flu shots the day we get home. I always have a reaction too. I hope you feel better very soon.
    Blessings,
    Betsy

  15. Why in the butt? I've never heard of it there for flu shots! So glad they give it in the arm because I get it done at my pharmacy! thanks for reminding me as I haven't had mine. I've never had a reaction and I always get it in my left arm because I am left handed...the more you use it the less sore it will get...also tensing up your arm before you get the shot doesn't help either.
Look at you with only 11 ornaments to go....nothing deters you....you are Wonder Woman!
Snow~~~~we can't even get rain here....they keep predicting it and it keeps going north west of us...from Oklahoma to Missouri.

    1. One year when they gave it to me in the arm my arm swelled up and it froze my shoulder joint...very painful recovery from that...since I have no joints in my butt It is my spot of choice:)
