This is the system that I use to cut a fancy border on paper. This one just happens to be Creative Memories but I am certain there are other brands out there.
Here I have placed my paper under the whatchmacallit and lined it up in the tray, then the tray gets flipped back and you insert the punch into the guide holes of the whatchamacallit.
You move the punch along in the guide holes along the length of your paper. Punching, punching making all kinds of tiny pieces of paper as the design emerges.
The design team which was probaly all women did a great job designing this system. All kinds of different designs can be purchased. This one can be used as a top border or a bottom border. You could even back the design with a different color paper or run a length of ribbon through the fences…you are only limited by your imagination.
I finished all my small cards, packaged them up in clear sleeves and put them away. Cross one project off the list!
I have not been compensated in any way by Creative Memories but hey…I am always willing to try out free stuff.
Miss Miney looks innocent enough doesn’t she? At one time in the morning her white was covered in tiny black thistle seeds after she scratched her back under the bird feeder. We will never know if Little Elvis rolled too…he usually does every thing Miney does.
Sometimes being black is a good thing.
The snow is melting fast!
Since I picked March 15 PM for the snow to be gone I am hoping for a slower melt. However, the way it is melting around here I'm not holding out much hope. I love your fancy design maker; looks like a fun tool to use. Glad chance is having a good time with his guests.
ReplyDeleteI think those designers must be women, too. That's a beautiful design but I think I like the lacy one you put on your fancy cards the best. Glad to know that your granddogs are doing doggy things just like they're supposed to. :-)
ReplyDeleteI love the contraption that provides you with such beautiful designs! I don't have the time to do crafts anymore (blogging, gardening, all sorts of things, plus I'm slower than I used to be). But if I did, I'd like to reorganize my photos and make borders like these to mount them. Just a thought!
ReplyDeleteFascinating tool. Sounds like the dogs had a good time.
ReplyDeleteThat is a tool I would enjoy.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos of the Granddogs.
ReplyDeleteThanks for showing us that machine so we know how you made that fancy border! I didn't know there was such a gadget!

Oh Man! That is a fancy punch system you've got there! Wow! Snazzy! Here I thought you just had regular border punches. Sweet!
ReplyDeleteLove seeing the pooches! Glad you got your cards done. Was 64 degrees yesterday--unreal! We might actually get a really early spring this year. I'd like it to last till July--LOL!
Your dogs are so sweet! Thanks for sharing how you punched your cards. That is genius!
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a fun whatchamacallit for making borders and such. Such cute dog friends for Chance. They make quite a trio.
ReplyDeleteThe photos of Little Elvis and Minet are quite stunning. Beautiful head shots!
ReplyDelete*Miney. Darn ipad keyboard got me again!
ReplyDeleteMiss Miney looks totally 100% completely innocent to me!
ReplyDeleteThere's always some new thing a ma jig when it comes to crafts.
ReplyDeleteYour grand-dogs are so very cute!
ReplyDeleteI really like seeing all the paper cutting and punching gadgets. It makes a nice effect to go with you photos. Button fell into our swamp pond tonight so he got a good washing. I have a wire fence around it and I will finish filling that old pond in with more dirt. Button has lost a lot of his sight and we are really having to do double duty with him. The seed in the hair seems so typical of dogs as they don't seem to care too much about grooming or how they look.
ReplyDeleteAlways like to see our beautiful State flower. And yes I went once into a creative memories store when I first launched on rescuing my childhood family albums...:)
ReplyDeleteThe picket fence border is nice but myself, I prefer the one you showed on Saturday. Pretty neat system though.
ReplyDeleteThat's machine is a neat tool that's for sure ! Yes I would say it was designed by a women lol ! Our snow is all gone now that we are in the mid 50s here with sunshine and a day or two of rain . Our Miggs is the same she rolls in anything lol ! Thanks for sharing lovely photos ! Have a good day !
ReplyDeleteCool. I nothing about whatmacallits and border punches.
ReplyDeleteI just do plain card stock photo cards. I haven't gotten fancy like you.
I'll have to write that down about Creative Memories...I'd like to learn more paper crafting as I know nothing. Looks like a fun tool to have...I like tools.
