Hiya it’s me Chance! I have been busy, I got me some company…I love them and they love me. One day we parked next to them and we serenaded the whole parking lot.
Here they are Miss Miney and Little Elvis….they are barkers Shetland Sheepdogs or Shelties and they are my bestest friends in the whole world.
We are the official escorts to get the mail. We all herd differently, the main idea is to get the mail and take it back home.
Along the way we saw Lumbermason…and he stopped to visit. He even petted Miss Miney…strange for her to let a stranger touch her…perhaps she is mellowing in her old age. Little Elvis didn’t want anyone strange to touch him…his stranger danger meter is high. Me on the other hand…well I love everyone and consider everyone my friend even if they don’t like dogs.
Lumbermason lives next door….his name should have been Jack…he likes to cut wood.
We all had a good walk, Far Guy has a walking stick with a sharp end that pokes into the ice. About this time Far Side headed home and I followed her and then Miss Miney and Little Elvis followed too…so we got to play ball!
We still have snow. Here is the snowstick.
Stay tuned it may warm up and rain this week.
Ah - such adorable shots! And such fun.
ReplyDeleteSupposed to warm up and rain here this week too. Today may be our last beautiful winter's day.
ReplyDeleteSo glad to know Far Side is walking outside and enjoying life. It's great to see him out with these wonderful dogs! I like these stories coming from the perspective of the dogs! You can see inside to their very unique personalities.
ReplyDelete"We serenaded the whole parking lot"... lol!
ReplyDeleteNice to see the sunshine and you and your friends out making sure Far Guy had a good walk.
So glad Far Guy has that good stick with the pointed end for walking in the winter.
ReplyDeleteIt is too long since we have heard from you, Chance! Glad you had your friends over for a visit. We can't have too many friends!

ReplyDeleteGreat photos.
Chance, you have cute friends! Glad you got together for some running and barking.
ReplyDeleteNothing like a romp in the snow with your friends. I've heard even humans like it.
ReplyDeleteI had a visitor yesterday, too. Emma, a Dutch Shepherd, brought her pet human (my nephew Dwight) with her. We had a good visit. Emma is a year and a half and still has a LOT of puppy habits, but she behaved very well yesterday.
ReplyDeletebeautiful photos. I saw a Sheltie running in the dog park today. Made me miss mine. He passed away 19 years ago.
ReplyDeleteYou looked like one happy bunch! Company is always Good! Boomer

ReplyDeleteOMG! I am reading this on Sunday afternoon and it is 64 degrees in Fargo--beginning of March!? Good grief! It's spring today! The snow banks are shrinking.
ReplyDeleteI loved seeing Chance and his friends--all of them--two and four legged. :)
I hope you got the warm weather you wanted!
ReplyDeleteYou have such a nice dog pack. You all look like you are doing your job well. It is a lot of sniffing and tail wagging that has to be done while on the job. Great photos to see.
