Winter Returns

It snowed.  Winter kicked Spring to the curb. ( our mud was almost gone)

Chance is happy…there is fresh snow to eat.

Snowstick March 17

Not enough snow to restart the snowstick contest but maybe soon.

Gloomy day

We went for a ride, it was a gloomy day. It spit snow/sleet/rain all day long.

Bright spot

There is a bright spot up on The Reservation, someone painted a bird and some flowers on this house.  We heard they were rounding up all the stray dogs and spaying and neutering them….and getting them some vaccinations!

I finished scanning the photos from Far Guy’s  Cousin Terry and boxed them up to return.

Far Guy’s infusion was a bugger this week.  He tried first, got a blood return and then who knows what happened but when we started the IV he had intense burning pain and then the IV occluded…we pulled the needle and fluid poured out… I poked him next with no blood return so he tried it and the third time was a charm…he is really sore and probably needs to see a Dr.  This port sits so deep I think we need longer needles. If it isn’t one thing it is another.  This week I escaped the clinic…but he went in and got a Kenalog injection to help him breathe easier.

  1. We are getting the snow this weekend. I feel so bad for Far Guy; I can't begin to imagine what he goes thru every week just so he can breathe. He must be one heck of a trooper. Love the house with the bird and flowers painted on it. Sure brightens things up. Also glad they are doing something about the stray animal problem. Hope you have a nice weekend.

  3. I wonder why Chance likes to eat snow. And it's so terrible that there's no cure in sight for FG's affliction. He's such a wonderful person and deserving of all good things. I don't pray for many people, but I do for him.

  4. Our mountains got slammed with snow earlier this week, so I'm guessing it all moved east. Good to see someone taking care of the stray dogs on the reservation.

  5. You are being very brave in helping with the infusion process. I don't think I could do it, although we seem to always rise to whatever life demands of us!

I figured you'd get a little more snow. I hope it doesn't stay long though!

  9. It is snowing at my house right now. But the ground is so warm from all of our high temperatures that it is not sticking on the ground. It does sound like you need longer needles. I hate that you are continuing to have so much trouble with his ports!

  10. It's rather disappointing that a very good treatment is so challenging to administer.

  16. The spaying and neutering of stray dogs is such a good idea.

Feeling awful about your poor husband. Hope that something is figured out soon whether longer needles or whatever it takes to make things a bit easier.

Hoping you find a way to make this infusion process less problematic and painful.

  18. Oh, what a bummer about the infusions. Hoped the new port would have resolved those problems. Hoping this is just temporary for him!!! Somebody's got to have the answer.

  19. Old age is not for wimps that's for sure! According to the weather channel you guys got a big storm. They're as bad as the news channels anymore. They sensationalize everything so now when there really is something we will ignore them. And I thought I exaggerated...nothing compared to the media! LOL!
