Remember this?

Well it is now a ugly looking blanket...back in the day I would have called it fugly ucking :)

Lots of small balls of yarn used up.  This was a project I started and only worked on in the afternoons while we watch Grey's Anatomy.  We are in Season six now and I will need to figure out another project.

I have a couple of ideas for the next project.  Might be time to revisit one of my previous projects:)

We had a quiet day, it rained just about an inch according to the neighbors.

Minnesota weather: High 41F or 5C  Low was 29F or -2C.  Rainy and the grass is turning green.

  1. The blanket reminds of me of all the scrap yarn lap afghans I've made in the past. Nothing amazing, but very useful.

  2. This made me chuckle. Ugly is in the eyes of the beholder. Someone enjoying the warmth of that blanket will only see the beauty.

  3. I would call the blanket a Modern Art blanket. I think it is more interesting than a lot of modern art. You have a masterpiece.

  5. Maybe not the most aesthetically pleasing but it's practical!

  6. I bet that took awhile as it’s a close stitch. I haven’t tried making a ball of yarn yet because I have several things started, but I’m going to try it. Do you work the yarn together or tie a knot? I work it in and it takes a while. I may try tying a knot so it’ll go faster!

Never thought the turtle might be laying eggs. Eric found some little ones in their swimming pool. Larry didn’t like snapping turtles. If he saw one he shot it. They eat fish is why he didn’t like them. We’ve had some huge ones. I’m not a gunslinger so I just leave them alone.

  7. I think I would title it "Warm". It would keep someone warm, especially watching tv in the evening.

  9. I think it is beautiful.. I can so see this in a boys room or even hanging on the back of a chair in a living area. I bet you would be surprised how many people would love to have this piece with the unique colors...

  10. I think it is great! Very manly or boyish. We're hardest on ourselves.
