Recliner

I am enjoying the recliner, although the massage function is sometimes annoying.  The heat is toasty warm:)

I am sometimes able to relax and crochet.

Baby booties and a hat.

We had snow in the air many times yesterday.  Our high was 40 F or 5 C eh!

It seems my horrid SI joint pain is returning with a vengeance.   Is it the weather or has the injection ran it's course?

  1. Yikes. I sure hope the doctors can do something for your incredible pain bouts since nothing else seems to be working.
    Cute little booties!

  2. Wow! Now that is a nice recliner. I got one as the doctor recommended but no heat, no massage, and no cup holders...but still very pricey! The recliner store had nothing like that! I am not a recliner person and it just sits there with the tags still on it! Plus he wanted me to get a shower chair, and a toilet raised seat. I did and I don't use any of them. I guess I should be thankful that I don't need them but what a waste of money. Maybe I'll need them in the future but I hope not.
I can't believe they can't do something about your pain. That has to be maddening! The booties are precious. I pray your pain will go away.

  3. I sat in a chair like that in a mall once waiting on my wife and popped in a quarter for some heat and massaging. I rather liked it. Perhaps when my current recliner wears out, I can upgrade to one... only without needing quarters to operate.

  4. Hopefully the increase in pain is only the weather changing. The recliner sure looks comfy. I slept part of the night in my recliner last night, and now my back hurts. LOL

  5. I would love the heat! We had one with massage feature. I loved it. So did the grandies!

  6. That's a great Robin photo! YAY! And I'm glad the chair is working out well. Warm hug in chair form. Your baby things are adorable!

  8. The chair does look comfortable. I am so sorry you aren't able to get relief from your pain. It's a terrible thing to be in constant pain.

  9. Great looking recliner. I imagine the heat and massage features help to alleviate your pain at least somewhat.

  10. The SI joint can definitely be a bad pain - - - - I was having trouble with mine in 2004 and it turned out to be the OA in the same knee had triggered it. But no one immediately put that together until both got worse. Has anyone had you do the exercise that is for sciatica - - where you put the ankle of the bad side on top of the thigh just above the knee on the good side? Then you pull the good side toward your chest which stretches the bad side? Also, I think I have mentioned and they maybe did this at PT - - - have someone gently grasp your ankle and give it a gentle pull and hold a few seconds.
Salon Pas on the joint was helpful, too.
And then again - - sometimes nothing will help.

    1. Yes I have done all the PT exercises, when they pulled on my ankle I could hardly walk for days.

    2. I am truly sorry that none of the PT has helped. It is so very hard to function when in pain.

  12. Your chair looks inviting, and the booties and hats are cute as can be, but I am so sorry your pain has returned already. I do so wish they could find some way to give you relief. :(

  13. Sister Helen has a chair similar I think. I love sitting in it when I visit her. It does lots of things and they all feel so good. The booties are sweet. I gave up making them. Mine wouldn’t match. I might try again.

  14. I am trusting that it is the weather and praying that the injection will make everything better. You new recliner looks so nice. Glad you have the warming button.

  15. Toasty warm sounds great, snow in the air, not so much. I am sorry your pain is worse. I am sure the weather is not helping. I hope you can find a treatment with longer acting results.

Oh no...so sorry to hear about your pain coming back. Hope you're feeling better soon. Our lawns were covered with snow this morning. We're ready for nice warm temps.

  17. I would love that recliner in the winter if only for the warming it does, but I too would be annoyed at the massaging.. I don't care for that part. Those cute baby booties and cap are adorable! I see all the neat things people make online and wish I'd really tried harder to learn crochet or knitting. My mama tried when I was little, but I just couldn't get the knack of it. I'm more of a sewing person - clothing, quilts, etc. Blessings to you, Connie!

  19. I hope your latest pain episode resolves itself soon. I hope spring make up it mind where you live soon. We had snow flurries yesterday (New York State) but they didn't stick. Now, today, it's in the 50's, sunny, and springlike again.
