My word for 2024 is/was focus. Presently I am working on the five Grands photo albums.
I ordered extra pages. My Mom had some school photos and a few photos that I scanned from when I did the big sort. I ordered photos three time from Walmart...the last bunch arrived yesterday.
The Grandboys have plenty of photos because their Mom is a good picture taker....however this view is from Grandma's camera. The Grandgirls have no photos. They are left with just Grandma's view.
I have a few photos at home in an older photo storage box...those are mainly Savannah when she was little. So this project is not done...done...but at least it is moving forward and all caught up until December 2024.
Far Guy is about the same, me too, we are managing our care and Sadie. Maddie stops by to walk Sadie and check on the elderly. Some members of this household are enjoying a few days of Island warmth over Spring Break.
Far Side
Would you mind sharing the steps in ordering photos from Walmart? Do they mail them or do you have to pick them up?
ReplyDeleteI go to the Walmart home page and select Photos then I upload the photos, fill out the amounts and sizes, sometimes I pick them up and sometimes I order them to be delivered. Easy peasy.
DeleteGlad to hear everyone is hanging in there. I hope the island excursion is going well.
ReplyDeleteGetting away to a warm location is a treat. My weather has been warm this week. I’m working in the yard and doing little chores. The sun feels really good on my old shoulders.
ReplyDeleteWhat little I have done, I have used the online site Shutterfly. That way, I only have to enter a scanned picture in one, place it digitally in a book, and then just order as many copies of the book as needed to hand out. It also makes it handy to add some relevant stories or comments about each picture too.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful gift you are giving your grands.
ReplyDeleteThat is a wonderful project - they will treasure it!
ReplyDeleteOur generation is probably the last one to have boxes off actual printed photos. Keep getting well while you focus on the photo books.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure they will treasure it. Still holding both of you in my prayers.
ReplyDeleteThis is a fabulous project!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a neat thing for you to be making for the grands. They will love them. Was hoping you both might be feeling a LOT better today. Woo hoo for those that are enjoying nice Spring Break..
ReplyDeleteThe photo albums will be treasured for certain. As Sara said, it's unlikely there will be printed photos for future generations. While they say the internet is forever, it can be hard to find. I'm sure the project is fun too, as you look back when the grands were small children and teenagers.
ReplyDeleteKeeping you both in my thoughts.
Since I only have two grands and their mother has kept up photo albums, I don't have that job. I have a large shelf of photo albums from when my kids were young, back when photos weren't digital.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear neither of you is feeling any worse. You are even getting things done and organized when you aren't feeling well! :)
ReplyDeleteIt's good to know both of you are doing okay and you're keeping busy with doing all 5 albums!
