November 17th Blooms!

Imagine my surprise when I saw that the weedy little daisy in our rocks on the West side of the house decided to bloom.

No one said November 17th was too late to bloom.

The rabbits, squirrels, skunk, deer or bear have trampled part of it... I have treated the area with round-up many times over the Summer and into the Fall...yet the daisy blooms.

  1. That's a stubborn plant. The local gardening group has seen several posts of flowers still in bloom here, mostly pansies and petunias. This morning, one post included lettuce! And we've had snow.

  3. Perhaps the daisy is "round-up ready" like most soybeans these days.

  10. That is one persistent little flower. Mom's favorite flowers are daisies so I always think of her when I see one.

  14. That is a nice little surprise! I suspect with this weather that my strawberry plants are still growing under their blanket. Sounds like some weather is suppose to be coming in.
