Napping

Far Guy spends a fair amount of time napping, he was sleep deprived in the hospital.  I join him every other nap or so.   I am hoping that he turns the corner soon....and gets on the upward swing.

I am making a few cards...watercolor...quiet things to do while Far Guy is napping.  Of course I do have just a few crochet projects.

  2. I love that you have craft projects to do. I actually know people who do not do anything at all like that and some of them don't even read. They also don't like being at home because they just do the cooking and cleaning.
I told them I LOVE being at home because like, you, I have too many fun things to do and projects to complete. I listen to audiobooks or music while doing it. They look at me like I am from outer space or another country and they don't understand what I am saying.
Prayers still for Far Guy. As you have said, his recovery will be longer than others who have had flu compounded by pneumonia. However I truly understand your concern. Hopefully he is still eating and drinking well?

  4. I'm so glad that Far Guy is getting good rest now that he's at home. You need it too my friend. Isn't it nice that we have hobbies to keep us busy. I just got a pattern and needles out this morning to start a sweater for Baby J in London. I have socks on the go and also a dishcloth. I love being home and having fun!
Praying for all of you Connie.
    Blessings and love,
    Betsy

  5. I’m trying to clean a fence row before the ticks and chiggers start crawling. I won’t get it all done but a few feet a day will add up. Yesterday, I just had a pity party day and sat in my chair. I watched Nyad on Netflix and sit all day. Nyad was slow but I got through it. I could have been cutting brush. You are smart to find projects.

  6. So glad he is home where he CAN nap. Healing is slow but sleep helps.

  7. Lots of naps ( for both of you) will surely lead to better health.

  8. I'm glad you are both getting extra sleep. He definitely needs it. You do get sleep deprived in the hospital. You always have several quiet projects you are working on--lol! I hope you both start to feel better now this week. Especially Mr. FarGuy, of course. :)

  13. My hospital stay was horrible. The care was not productive and then I was left alone a lot. I hope for more healing as he rests and his body restores.

  14. I know exactly what you are talking about. Hospitals don't give you much rest.
Hopefully FG starts to turn the corner.

I find quiet things to do also while the other half is napping.

  15. I'm glad to know he's recovering, and sleep is usually a good thing to get lots of. Naps work, if you can get them. Sending lots of healing energy to the both of you.

  16. So glad you are both getting some much needed rest. I agree with Lynda! I can't imagine a life without books, and crafts and so much inspiration from my fellow crafters like you!
