Busy week

We have three appointments this week, one down two to go.  Everything was fine with Far Guy's appointment yesterday it was the 90 mile one way drive...the highlight was a trip to Hobby Lobby for supplies for Christmas Ornaments and Christmas Cards.  Far Guy went to get some lupper for both of us while I shopped.

High Bush Cranberries were ripe earlier this month.  Far Guy's Dad used to like scouting for them and picking a bunch for jelly.

  1. I've got to get to Hobby Lobby before long... before there's not much left to pick through.
    Bet those berries were good!

  3. Hooray for good doctor's appointments. To think we used to worry about scores on academic tests back before we were two decades old. Now we await the lab and scan results to determine our future. Life sure changes - - - glad we are still around to talk about it all. Have a blessed day!

  4. Early berries, early winter? I hope not. Those berries look like they'd be sour so lots of sugar in the jelly? So happy the first appt for Far Guy turned out well. May the other two be the same. ~Andrea xoxo

  5. That is a new-to-me plant. I've never heard of High Bush Cranberries. The berries are so dainty. Wish the Hobby Lobby was closer to us. I have to drive to Sioux Falls for the nearest one but - I do love shopping there. My granddaughter Olivia used to call it Jolly Holly and she loved going there with me.

  6. Hope all the appointments go as well as Far Guy's.
My mom would pick high bush cranberries too - I suppose she made jelly from them, but honestly I don't recall.

  7. I don't seem to have any interests anymore. Sigh. I do need a hobby or two

  9. That's a long drive for your appointments. The price of gas has shot up here lately to $1.86 a litre. Don't know just how much that works out to per gallon but still... Good thing you got to do some fun shopping while you were there.

  11. Happy for a good doctor's appointments! We have two appointments week (both spouse and me at the same time) and I have two next week. I have never picked or used highbush cranberries but I sure love the cranberries that grow in bogs.

  12. I suspect your 90 mile trip takes about the same as my 15 mile trip into the city through traffic to go to my Dr's appointments. "Fine" is good news.

  13. High bush cranberries are here but nobody uses them. I did see one guy pick them off the tree and eat them.

  14. Good news on the appointment. I wish we would switch to lupper. I fix a big breakfast for my grandkid bus riders, then we still do lunch with the preschool grandkids and still do supper. Too much eating around here.

    Hope your Lupper was delish!

  16. Hurray for Hobby Lobby. We haven't been anywhere for quite a while. I don't have to need anything and can still find things to buy. Two appointments to go. I hope they are all good.

  17. Ugh! I really don't like weeks like that. It feels good when they're over, though, and all goes well. :)
