We had a quiet day yesterday, I was very tired so I had a couple of naps...Sadie interrupts every so often because she has to make sure you are still breathing when she awakens from her naps.
I gathered a few things together for the trip back to our home in the woods. We will start packing the car soon.
Photo of an old home in the area.Just when the grass is starting to show a hint of green we are forecast to get rain/snow... March weather is unpredictable and fickle.
My Dad is in the hospital, he has a urinary tract infection, he is not well enough or strong enough to go back home at this time, he will be going to a Nursing Care facility for physical therapy so he can get stronger and walk without falling.
Far Side
Sending best wishes to your dad that he recovers soon.
ReplyDeleteNaps are always a good thing in my book. Love the picture of the old home. Sorry to hear about your Dad. Praying for a speedy recovery.
ReplyDeleteMarch is fickle isn't it?
ReplyDeleteI sure hope the UTI can be helped and some PT can help him get back on his feet.
How is your mom doing?
<3
Mom is doing okay.
DeleteI am so sorry about your Dad. I hope that he can get better soon. Your mom is better if he can get help to get better.
ReplyDeleteHope your dad feels better soon. We are getting wet snow this morning. It's sticking to the lawn, but melting on the street and sidewalks. Go away snow!!!
ReplyDeleteMarch is indeed fickle. The last two days here were in the teens and low twenties but today it will be in the 40s and 60 by the end of the week and then back to the cold. It's crazy! Sorry to hear about your dad. I hope he has a quick recovery. Enjoy the rest of your week.
ReplyDeleteSending lots of good healing thoughts to your Dad. Dave's grandma is back home after 5 weeks in the hospital for a UTI. This was her fifth time in hospital in three years, and she just keeps bouncing back! She turns 94 in May
ReplyDeleteI'm really sorry to hear about your Dad being unwell. There seems to be so much sickness right now. It's wonderful how both he and your Mom are still able to live in their own home.
ReplyDeleteI can imagine that you're getting "antsy" to get back to your own home. I've missed the snow stick and other winter reports this year, but it's been fun to hear about life in the city too. Especially Sadie.
Take care my friend. We're back into wintertime here too.
Blessings,
Betsy
Quick recovery wished for your dad. UTI's cause all kinds of weird symptoms in folks.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes from Hawaii.
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about your Dad. I hope he is able to recovery quickly and get back home.
ReplyDeleteWe had a wee bit of snow yesterday but I expect it will melt this afternoon. Wishing you a smooth transition to home
I do hope your dad is well enough to come home soon. Have a safe trip back home yourself. :-)
ReplyDeletePrayers for dad that he beats this infection, builds up his strength and can return home to mom soon. And prayers for your healing and return to your lovely home in the woods, too!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your packing up, and I hope your Dad gets better soon. Mxx
ReplyDeleteI hope your Dad doesn't mind going to the Care facility and that he'll be able to go home again soon. Good thing your Mom is doing well.
ReplyDeleteYour weather sounds similar to ours. We've had more snow than usual this winter and now they are talking about it again tomorrow. I'm sorry to hear about your Dad. I sure hope he improves quickly. I hope your hand is doing better. You have to remember to not overdo things when you do get back home!
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to hear about your dad. the elderly suffer some very cruel conditions.
ReplyDeleteThere are sure some beautiful homes there. Sending well wishes to your dad!
ReplyDeleteSadie will miss you and you will miss her.

ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear this about your dad. Sigh...
ReplyDeleteHope your dad is able to go home sooner than later. That grass looks really green for this time of year. We are surrounded by shades of brown. Thank goodness for evergreen trees!
