Nothing better than a trip to a sunflower field to find the sunny disposition that the events of the day took away.
A letter came in the mail. Tricare doesn’t care if I am allergic to yellow dye and will not cover my Blood Pressure medication that doesn’t have yellow dye…they quote some FDA guidelines… government gobbly goup that you have to be a lawyer to read. Pissed me off.
Off to town to do errand. The witch is still there, guess she is going to have a permanent spot near the Wally World door…I must remember to use the other entrance from now on. She was texting something or playing a game on her phone when I came in. She has a service dog. She used to come to wood carving a few years ago…she was mean to her dog then and is still mean to him now. A few weeks ago Far Guy and I witnessed her hollering at the poor dog outside the Post Office. Today he was laying in a heap on a dirty old too small dog bed with really sad eyes. Yes using the other door for a while is a good idea…I don’t think she will last long as she is about as friendly as a starving Grizzly Bear.
Blue hair…all shades of blue on one head. She was the only checker without a line at the grocery store. She looked like a big old blueberry puked on her head. I am certain that the blue hair was off putting to more customers than me…Far Guy is a better person than me…he tried to visit with her…well kinda he was asking about her blue hair. I just busied myself with packing up my groceries and saving my bread from the hands of those that wanted to squish it in a bag.
Home to have a quick nap and then off to the sunflower field…at least the day ended on a positive note.
Wow, sunshine growing in a field! Why on earth do they have to put colored dye into a pill? What's wrong with white??? That's just crazy. That and that it cost extra to LEAVE OUT something.
ReplyDeleteI can't stand to see animals mistreated. Poor thing. I'd have to avoid Walmart while she was working I'm afraid. I dislike shopping there anyway and that would be a deal breaker.
Hope today is cheerier, Connie.
Love those sunflowers. That is just plain stupid that your insurance WON'T cover the pills without yellow dye. Dye doesn't belong in medication anyways. Noticed that food is the same wayIf you leave and ingredient out the price goes up. DUH!!! I think I would complain to the store manager about this woman and tell them she is driving customers away. Also complain to the SPCA. No animal deserves to be mistreated, especially a service animal.
ReplyDeleteThe previous comments summed it all up for me. I will just concentrate on those beautiful sunflowers instead. They are magnificent. :-)
ReplyDeleteIt breaks my heart when animals are mistreated. I also hope someone will complain to the SPCA about this woman. This woman may be driving away customers so I hope there will be complaints about her to the store manager.

So sorry to hear about the insurance nightmare with your meds. Keep fighting with them and don't let the gobble gook stop you. Love the sunflower photo and on the store trip - I am like you sometimes just have to avoid those things that raise my blood pressure.
ReplyDeleteApparently Tricare and the FDA have not read the fine print on FD&C Yellow No.5. Even OTC meds must state that the product contains the dye so folks with allergies can avoid it. I would need to go to the sunflower field too.
ReplyDeleteYou may curse Tricare, I have a time or two, but when we hit 65 and Medicare became our Prime insurer and Tricare our secondary I found out how much better Tricare was. Medicare never wants to pay for anything.
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely field of sunflowers! Just the thing to get your mind off of your troubles.
ReplyDeleteTerry has the same issue with pills compounded with flour...he has Celic's and guess what...the gove don't care.
ReplyDeleteLove sunflowers!
Linda
So much of our government seems to be ruled by corporations anymore, not living breathing people with hearts.
ReplyDeleteI agree that the woman should be reported for being mean to her poor service dog. I find people who are mean to animals, children, seniors, spouses...well, mean/cruel/insensitive people are just terribly upsetting to me in general.
Sunflowers!! Thank God for sunflowers!!! :) :)
Talk to your doctor about prescribing a different BP medication. There are thousands of them! He should be able to find one that doesn't have yellow dye in it. I love the fields of sunflowers. There is one just up the road from us!!
ReplyDeleteThat sucks about no coverage for your meds you need . I hear you there are days I just want to slap someone , I cant stand people who are mean to animals poor dog . Lovely photos , one good thing is nature always makes me feel better ! Thanks for sharing , have a good day or at least try to eh?!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing the cheerful sunflowers. I've had a thoroughly rotten day, too!
ReplyDeleteI avoided a cashier in Wally world on sunday. she just didn't give me any confidence at all that my receipt would be correct.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you had a very trying day. I sure hope the rest of your week is better!!
ReplyDeleteJust keep thinking sunflowers :-).
ReplyDeleteSunflowers always brighten my day.
