I knew something was rotten in Denmark when Far Side set the alarm so she and I could leave the house real early. Yup I was right…she took me to the groomers…she said “Give him the works, with hypo allergenic shampoo and NO perfume”…then she left.
She came along to rescue me later that afternoon and she remembered to bring the bowl of ice water….cause getting handsome makes you real thirsty. Far Guy said “Don’t they have water there?” Far Side said “Yes they probably do, but unless he is coaxed he won’t drink their water.” She knows me well.
I am real handsome now, my white is white again and I am trimmed all over.
The grass is turning green again and I spend most of my day outside herding squirrels and crows when the weather is nice…like in not windy…I hate the wind.
I made it through the winter. Somedays I have to wear the special halter cause I need help getting up and down the steps but for the most part I am doing real good for 11 1/2 years old…going on 12.
Hi Chance, You look so handsome. So glad your weather has warmed up and you can enjoy the outdoors again. Wishing you all a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteOh yes, indeed, Chance, you are looking quite spiffy!
ReplyDeleteI hope you make it through more winters, your humans and your fans (like me) love you dearly.
ReplyDeleteThe Mollywog says "Lookin' good Chance. I, on the other hand, resemble a "bag dog" because I have not been to the groomer since August. She will be taking me to the groomer next week. He jokes "ask if there is a 2-for-1 special" because She desperately needs to be groomed as well!
ReplyDeleteOh my, Chance you are soooo handsome. Very happy to hear you made it through the winter. I speak from experience, getting old is tough, so I know how going up and down steps can be hard. You just keep on herding those pesky squirrels and crows. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteYou are very handsome, Chance.
ReplyDeleteYou are a dashing and handsome fella! Water tastes better from your own bowl, right?
ReplyDeleteLooking good, Chance! Is that green grass I see in that picture? Must be spring in your part of the country, too. I know how it feels to be getting on in years, too. :-)
ReplyDeleteLooking good Chance. So happy you made it through the winter. It's hard on old dogs. Hope the warmer weather helps you.
ReplyDeleteBet your fur is so nice to snuggle into now!
ReplyDeleteYou make it look easy to look beautiful.
ReplyDeleteSo handsome! You'll appreciate the trim since you'll get warm chasing the squirrels. ;)
ReplyDeleteYou look pretty darn smart you old dog!!!
ReplyDeleteBet your fur is so nice to snuggle into now!
ReplyDeleteLookin' good, Chance! Miss Bob thinks you are quite dashing.
ReplyDeleteMy you are a handsome lad. It is better to bring your own water --one never knows. Lady Caroline

Looking good Chance soo handsome . Miggs has to have her coat like that shaved down not just trimmed she gets way to hot in the warmer weather . I hear you we all need help once in a while lol ! Thanks for sharing , have a good weekend !
ReplyDeleteYes, it's important to be a great looking dog!
ReplyDeleteI don't need a halter yet, Chance, just special shoes! Hurrah for the return of green grass. You had to wait a long time!
ReplyDeleteHiya Chance! Does your groomer do Grandmothers? ;-)
ReplyDeleteChance, you are one handsome doggy!
ReplyDeleteOh, you are such an adorable boy, Chance!
ReplyDeleteI didn't know there was hypoallergenic shampoo! You really do get the works :-D.
ReplyDeleteOk Chance now that you got all cleaned up I am going to have to get out the brush and scissors and work on Barney. On a really hot day he will experience a shampooing. I like to be sure there is vegetation up so that he won't go roll in the dirt. You Chance look really great in you black and white tuxedo.
ReplyDeleteWow! Did they use "volumizing" shampoo on him? He looks really "fluffy". I didn't tell my girls because they would want the same treatment and they could use it but the Frontline Plus and Allergy shot and special food take priority. Plus, I don't care for the one and only groomer they have around here. He looks so handsome! Nitty looks like she has mange she's shedding so much.
