It stormed, it started raining Saturday night or maybe it was sleet and then it snowed. Then the wind blew….and blew.
We had a quiet day at home. Far Guy went out and shoveled the walk once.
There was some big game yesterday, we didn’t watch. The Food Network was more entertaining.
Kinda nice to have fresh snow, but with it comes the hazard that it has covered up some icy spots.
Your fresh snow looks very pretty. I woke up this morning to snow. Hubby said it was very slippery when he went to work, so I should be careful when I take his car to the "shop" for an oil change. I probable will have to shovel first tho.
ReplyDeleteYes, you have to watch out for that ice in the car and walking too! We're supposed to get something today...rain or snow or nothing. They don't cover our area very well. I like your yard pretties in the snow. To catchup...Odda is a beautiful dog and Jo makes lovely items! I can't believe that woman did that...my first reaction would have been to shove the cart right back at her but then Far Guy is a better Christian than I am! Every time I see bad behavior, I blame it on mental illness. We have no places for them anymore like in the old days and that is where most of the homeless come from too. They've just been absorbed into society and not very successfully for either side. It's really sad.
ReplyDeleteI agree with what Sam said about the rude woman. I didn't watch the game exactly, but turned on the TV without sound and glanced up from my book every now and then to see the score. We have what is known as an Omega Block building up high pressure over our area, bringing warm temps and sunshine for a few days. Yay! :-)
ReplyDeletePretty photo, I love fresh snow. We are having light snow right now and I hope our roads don't have anything slick underneath it either as I have to go out in it later.
ReplyDeleteI have been enjoying your blog for several years. But now I am missing the blogs that appeared on the side of your page. Where did they go? Will they return?
ReplyDeleteThere was one of those links that was causing some problems for some viewers, so I am not sure, When it is safe again maybe:)
DeleteA big game? I must have missed it, too. ;o)
ReplyDeleteNice picture of the fresh snow. Unfortunately it doesn't stay so pristine very long.
ReplyDeleteBrrrr, I'm so tried of winter. Sigh! At least the days are longer, that helps.
ReplyDeleteLinda
Game? What game? You mean the one everyone watches just to see the Clydesdales? *grin*
ReplyDeleteWe're getting bare ground again here, hope it stays that way and all the ice melts.
We mostly got the high winds. Only a dusting of snow...on top of ice, of course. Sounds like you had the kind of quiet, non-football day that Karma and I did. I watched Mad Men. ;)
ReplyDeleteVery pretty! I'll take fhe sunny and 61 degrees it is on our deck thgh. :-)
ReplyDeleteI didn't send you this storm!!! Honest!!! I thought I was the only one in the world who didn't watch some big game!
ReplyDeleteYes, stormy weather. Still blowing and snowing here... Love the Food Network, watched yesterday too.Blessings Francine.
ReplyDeleteWe got Spring today, I'm not complaining. The game may have been watched by some here, not me though. I was doing an egg run yesterday, which I did earlier so those football fans wouldn't have to miss the big show. Hope your snow melts soon.
ReplyDeleteI can't say that I am enjoying the storms and wind from the north country. We are in for the day. The wind sounds like big trucks going by and the snow now is just light and fluffy when it isn't blowing sideways at 45 mph. I am ready for spring, yesterday.
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean, I don't know how many times the snow has covered the ice and I went ass over tea kettle to the ground! At least you had Far guy to do the hard work ;)
ReplyDeleteYeah all the hoopla over football not for Papa and I lol ! Rain snow mix for us and mild still no snow stays on the ground it seems to melt as it hits or at least in a few hours of it falling lol ! Thanks for sharing , have a good day !
ReplyDeleteAs karen said, we're having Spring here for a couple of days before it's back to rain. At least rain doesn't have to be shoveled. Keep safe and avoid icy spots.
ReplyDeleteYou need the snow, so that's a good thing. We are having early spring this week.
ReplyDeleteHow refreshing to hear about others who didn't watch the gam. I was walking on the beach.
ReplyDeleteYeah...that big game. We didn't watch it, either. Tried to go out and do something fun BESIDES that, but it looked like we live in a ghost town. At least the weather was beautiful :)
