So shiny it was tough to photograph.
The signature crossed flags.
Dual headlamps.
Two spoked steering wheel.
Wouldn’t you like to go for a spin? I know I would. I think I made the guy that owned this car a little nervous…and I tried not to drool on his car.
Wow, what a beauty! I think you should beg for a ride.
ReplyDeleteShe's a beauty. Hug B
ReplyDeleteWow, what a gorgeous car. That was when Detroit knew how to make cars.
ReplyDeleteBut think of the gas they used!

I love it! My dad was a Chevy man and we loved to see vintage cars. This is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteOh, I LOVED this car. I remember it well. Sliding in without a thought of a seat belt, the shifter on the steering wheel... it brought back memories all right. Is this the car that was called "Heavy Chevy" I wonder? :-)
ReplyDeleteThis is back in the day when each car was distinguishable from the others. This one is beautiful. My hubby's 66 GTO is very well protected.
ReplyDeleteAhhhh, such a beauty.
ReplyDeleteLove that red interior! Someone spent a lot of time restoring this beauty.
ReplyDeleteGreat car shots - not always easy to get and I love love love the RED!
ReplyDeleteAh! Back when even I could tell some cars apart. Love the red, of course. :)
ReplyDeleteI remember them well.
ReplyDeleteToday, it would be considered a death trap - but of course, it is the DRIVER that causes accidents.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful car!
They just don't make 'em like they used to....
ReplyDeleteSWEET RIDE !! Wonderful photos . I do like me a vintage vehicle . Thanks for sharing , Have a good day !
ReplyDeleteSo . . . it's sort of a Shiny Brite of autos? :-). The first car I ever bought . . . is the one I am driving now. In Smalltownville, all I needed was a good pair of shoes or my bike.
ReplyDeletewhen I was a kid I would follow and know all about the designs of all of the cars. I liked watching the evolution of the designs each year. My first cousin had one of these Impalas and it was red on the inside too. Gosh that was such a long time ago. Jerry is now in a nursing home.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!
ReplyDeleteThe 57's had very nice fins. My Dad had a 57 that may have been a biscayne(not quite sure). It would go 95 mph on a gravel road???
ReplyDeleteLooks like a sweet ride!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness. I dated a guy along about that time who drove a car just like that except his was a convertible. His Impala was white with red interior too. I liked his car better than I liked him.
ReplyDeleteCool! My first car, two years old when my parents paid the downpayment on it for my graduation from college, was a white, two door hard top convertible 1964 Impala.
ReplyDeleteThey sure are classics. My daughter loves the Bel Aires.
ReplyDeleteLove it!! And I love my mom's (Henny Penny) comment. Ha ha. xo Lynn
ReplyDeleteIt's a beauty! Was there an Impala station wagon? If so we had one when I was a kid.
ReplyDeleteAs they say..."they don't make 'em like they used to." What a sweet ride!
