I ordered a case of Solar Lights...they brighten up the night time.
They glow orange and the light dances like a flame. Pretty cool if I don't say so myself.
We had a busy day. We got the steel parts of the old screen door to my other baby brother's steel recycling bin and the glass from the old screen door to the transfer station. I watered the tomato plant as we are in a hot spell. Part of the plant got real heavy and flopped over in the wind...I will see what lives and what dies and trim accordingly.
We had company in the afternoon...our Nephew and next door neighbor Josh and Missy stopped by and then our Niece Ellie is here with her three children from Oregon. The kids are growing like weeds!
What's Cooking: Salmon and roasted potatoes for Far Guy and a Hobo dinner for me...cleanup was easy...just throw the tin foil in the garbage and wash the forks:)
Minnesota weather: High 90F or 32C Low was 69F or 21C. We are in an extreme heat warning until Tuesday.
We are thankful for air conditioning!
Far Side
I love the solar lights. I should get more. And I chuckled at you watering THE plant.
ReplyDeleteCompany is good for me if…I don’t have to feed them! 😂😂
104* here. We are also thankful for air conditioning!!!
ReplyDeleteI like solar lights too but they don't seem to last long. We've had expensive and cheap ones.
ReplyDeleteMy daughter has lights on her front porch that look like the old gas lighting of years ago. I really like it and they're not like everyone else's.
Sure wish that I could eat fish and Salmon but I just can't stomach it.
All this stuff has to be done sooner or later.
ReplyDeleteSimple meal with easy clean-up is what we all like.
ReplyDeleteI am very thankful for air conditioning too. Your dinner sounds delicious - both of you!
ReplyDeleteWe are pretty happy with A/C.
ReplyDeleteIt's nice to have those meals all prepped in the freezer. I bought a couple of solar tiki torches for our new deck, but my husband likes the "real" ones better. I don't like the smell of the citronella in the tiki torches. My solar ones are now just outside the family room windows - glowing orange and flickering at night. LOL
ReplyDeleteNice lights! We got new (inexpensive) solar lights this year. A pair of spot lights highlight my mom's tree. So pretty! We also added a ground set for our fire pit area. No that we've used the pit much lately. Too dang hot!! The ground lights can flicker, but prefer it set solid. Kinda look like sun rays :) It is the little things that brighten up our lives!!
ReplyDeleteI would not make it through Summer without AC.
