Thursday stuff

Thursday is our busiest day of the week.  First stop to the corner of happy and healthy where a prescription was supposed to be ready but it was not...that place is so not organized.  I drop Far Guy off at his infusion where the gals take extra good care of him!

Aldi for fruit, Walmart online order pick up...sometimes I time them...yesterday it was four minutes.  To the local grocery store for "stuff" that Walmart didn't have...this week Apple Juice,  Crunchmaster Crackers and ICE Drinks (I like the Cherry) then off to the Butcher Shop!  Pick up Far Guy and head to the bank.

Home to unpack and put away groceries, have lunch (a peanut butter half a sandwich).

Enjoy bookclub and then collapse on the couch for a nap...Far Guy woke me up when leftovers were all warmed up for supper.

Minnesota weather: High  80F or 27C    Low was 58F or 14C

  1. The bank had a pretty flower. Your day whirled by with lots to do. I will go to Aldi’s today, too.

  2. You got a lot done! I find grocery shopping exhausting. Mainly the patience/peopling.

  3. Grocery shopping day is usually my busiest day. I try to only buy groceries once a month and it’s a marathon as you mentioned in one of your earlier posts. I buy milk, bread, etc. as needed the rest of the month. The flowers at the bank are gorgeous. We’re getting much needed rain this week. Grass is growing leaps and bounds. I’ll take mowing grass every few days anytime over a drought. RHill, TX

  4. Oh my goodness, I am exhausted just reading about your Thursday! You two truly ran a marathon of errands. That "corner of happy and healthy" pharmacy drives me absolutely bonkers sometimes, it is so frustrating when you go out of your way and they still don't have things ready. But I am so glad the infusion gals took such wonderful care of Far Guy! That piece of mind makes a huge difference.

A four-minute Walmart pickup is a serious victory, though! And you hit all the best stops—Aldi fruit, the local shop for your Cherry ICE drinks (the best flavor, by the way), and the butcher shop. You definitely earned that peanut butter half-sandwich and that well-deserved couch nap! How sweet of Far Guy to wake you up right when the leftovers were warm and ready.

Those flowers at the bank are absolutely gorgeous! It’s so nice when local places add a little burst of summer color to the day.

What book did you guys chat about at book club this week? Sending you and Far Guy a massive hug and hoping your Friday is much more relaxing!

  5. Here I thought orange mango was the best ICE drink. I will give cherry a try!

  6. Thursday is your busy day! This week is the first week of no school and I am so confused. It i noon and I just realized it is Friday, not Saturday.

  8. You definitely had a busy day! I can understand the need for a snooze.
The flowers at the bank are lovely, though I am not a fan of the dracena spike.

  9. Sounds like a good day. Lots accomplished , a nice nap, and supper all ready when you were woken up. If only all days flowed so pleasantly.

  10. You deserved a nice nap! I rarely shop at WalMart...but maybe using pick-up would be useful! ALDI is my go-to for basic veggies, cheap whine (sic), shredded cheese, Cranberry-walnut chicken salad and chicken schnitzel. As well as their chicken and sometimes salmon. Oh, and their 3-main ingredient breads!

  12. That sounds like a busy schedule. We've been running all day entertaining a guest. I'm tired tonight.
