We went to recycle and stopped along the way to admire a few blooms.
The white lilacs are still looking good, the old fashioned purple lilacs are looking a tad old...the warm weather last week was hard on them.
We planted a pot of red Petunias and some who knows what color maybe they are all white Snapdragons. I am sure the deer will eat them sometime soon.
The deer are coming into the yard to drink out of the bird baths. I think one is either a new Mom or about to be a new Mom.
Minnesota weather: High 79F or 26C Low was 60F or 16C
What's cooking? Salad and Steak
News: She who sees robins first had a knee replacement on Wednesday. It all went well and she should be able to come home on Thursday. Aubrey and Katie came over to visit on Tuesday...Aubrey is doing well and goes back to the Cities for a re check soon.
Far Side
Great news on Aubrey. Prayers will continue. Your flowers are looking beautiful. Hopefully the deer won't decide to snack on them for awhile.
ReplyDeleteBlessings and hugs,
Betsy
Good to hear your Robin lady and Aubery are doing well. I hope the pretty red petunias taste awful. :-)
ReplyDeleteI love lilacs, but cant bring bouquets of them in the house , thet bother Ted's allergies
ReplyDeleteHope Aubrey’s surgery is a success. We don’t have as many deer. Meat is so expensive. I think people are killing more just to feed their families.
ReplyDeleteThe flowers are pretty.
Aubrey is an amazing young woman. Good to hear she is doing well.
ReplyDeleteYes, it's time to get the annuals in. Petunias are tougher than the rest so they can go in early.
ReplyDeleteIt must be fun to watch the deer come to drink at the bird bath but I hope they leave the petunias alone.
ReplyDeleteGlad all the medical stuff went well!!!
ReplyDeleteI appreciated your comments on our community concert. I want to add the chit chit, too. There were all kinds of groups with their back to the music chatting over the musicians. My husband ran the picnic basket to the car and said he could hear better from where we parked. Next concert we will sit in the car away from smelly, germy loud people, lol.
Beautiful photos. ❤️
ReplyDeleteThe deer can be hard on our plants, which is why I only kept pots of flowers (plus occasional tomatoes) up on the deck. Very pretty petunias so hopefully the deer will leave them alone. Hope your SIL has an easy recovery from the knee replacement.
ReplyDeleteAll our lilacs went over already - I feel like it was super quick this year!
ReplyDeleteLD....I missed my white and purple lilacs. The fit in well on an old historic lot in an old town. I had kept planting starts to have two large rows of them.
