Cats...or Cataracts, Far Guy has them and surgeries have been scheduled. He is a bit bummed out that one appointment yielded five more appointments. Can't say I blame him but I know he will be happier when he can see clearly again!
We had lunch with my other baby brother and she who sees robins first as they were passing through town to visit Katie for her upcoming 44th birthday in Western North Dakota. Happy Birthday Katie!
Minnesota weather: High 30F or -1C Low was 21F or -6C. Partly cloudy day.
3D print of a cat for Cee Cee's Valentine box. I painted the eyes and put a bit of color on the nose and the inside of the ears. Andy will put it all together..the cat will be peeking out of a cardboard box. It is amazing what that 3D printer can do!
Here is the completed Valentine box. The heart is also a 3 D print.
Far Side
The eyes even follow you just like Mona Lisa. Glad you had a visit with your brother.
ReplyDeleteI’m hoping to one day have cataract surgery. I’ll celebrate no glasses sliding down my nose. I have a small nose. All other parts of me are fat!
Cute Valentine box. I still do not understand how 3D printers work. I guess it would help if I saw one in person! RHill, TX
ReplyDeleteLove the results of the 3-D printer. What they can do is amazing.
ReplyDeleteAnother adorable Valentine box! Very cute! I'm sure FG will be happy to see clearly again, and probably surprised at how easy the procedure is.
ReplyDeleteI am still 'wowed' by the valentine boxes. I just remember my Captain Kangaroo type boxes made with construction paper and scotch tape.
ReplyDeleteI am excited for your husband to get his cataract surgery. It is an easy surgery with excellent outcomes. Those of us who have had it were almost giddy with excitement and floating on a cloud with the results. He will get tired of doing eye drops but don't skip any of them which I am sure he won't. How many weeks between each eye? My sister was two. My doctor was four. Also, that Valentine's box is super fun, too!!! Your family is extremely creative.
ReplyDeleteone week between surgeries
DeleteLove the kitty. I do not understand 3D printing at all but my kindergarten grandson managed to print a 3D dinosaur at a friend's house. Kids. They get it.
ReplyDeleteSo the Far Guy is joining me in cat surgery! Everyone tells me the appointments are worth it. I'm not sure I do want to see that clearly - I like my rose colored glasses. But I do want to be able to read the closed captions on the tv, lol.
Gosh! You are SOOOOOOOOOO talented!!!
ReplyDeleteI've got a cataract but so far don't need surgery. Wishing Far Guy successful surgery and recovery.
ReplyDeleteThat Valentine's box is simply adorable!
I am sure he will be amazed by his "new eyes"! 👀
ReplyDeleteAnother cute Valentine Box.
ReplyDeleteCataract surgery made a huge difference for me. I hope Far Guy gets the same results.
ReplyDeleteDennis and I both have the "beginnings" of cataracts according to the eye doctor but no surgery is needed yet. That Valentine's box is so cute. Good job on the painting. Those kids boxes are going to be the envy of their classmates. Remember when we just took old shoeboxes or Kleenex boxes to school. Sometimes we colored them but nothing like this!
ReplyDeleteBlessings and hugs,
Betsy
The box turned out great! Am I too old for 3D printers? Probably.
ReplyDeleteI had surgery on both eyes due to cataracts, but I still wear glasses (because of the cylinder) and I can see everything again, no more "fog"!
