Book Club: November 2025

 This month for Book Club we read Alice's Tulips by Sandra Dallas.


I enjoyed it very much!  It is historical fiction set in the Civil War from a young bride's view that she writes in letters to her sister.  I give it a nine out of a ten.  Parts of it I would have written differently...but that is just me being judgy. 

All of the gals in the book club liked it...it was one of my suggestions. So far I have liked all the Sandra Dallas books I have read.  Persian Pickle Club, Westering Women and true sisters all were excellent reads.

    So glad you found a good book to read. I’m reading “ From Camp Douglas to Camp Vicksburg.” These are letters written by a soldier in the 55th Infantry Division from Illinois during the Cicil War.

    I'll have to keep that name in mind. I do enjoy historical fiction but I've not heard of this author. Always nice when one's pick is well received.

    I appreciate hearing about the books you read and knowing if you like them or not. I'm going to try one of these you mentioned pretty soon.     Sounds like a good one. I like to sprinkle light Historical Fiction books into the mix of what I read. Currently turning pages on "The Memory Library" an enjoyable easy read.
