Town was not too busy for a change, many of the tourists have gone and soon the Snowbirds will take off and it will be even quieter.
No waiting in line anyplace....bank, Walmart pickup, Aldi, Hugos and Main Street Meats....where the young guy always calls me ma'am.
The bank got a new potted plant for Fall.
Far Guy had his usual Thursday Infusion to protect his lungs and then he came home to rest and nap. He had a hard time sleeping the past couple of nights.
Supper was mashed potatoes, hamburger gravy, carrots and raspberries.
Minnesota Weather: Highs 73F or 23C Low was 61F or 17C eh.

Hamburger gravy with mashed potatoes....a staple around our house. One more day, Connie, and then the weekend. Hang in there, both of you. Love, Andrea xoxo
ReplyDeleteYour weather sounds great. Good to hear you are getting in and out of places without wait time and crowds. Those are never fun.
ReplyDeleteThose flowers are stunning! A great combination. Lucky you to have an Aldi's! I hope Far Guy can sleep better.
ReplyDeleteOur weather is almost the same. Glad the weekly infusion is behind you.
ReplyDeleteMust be so nice when the town quiets down.
ReplyDeleteThe flowers are so pretty. :)
I know that it sure makes life easier for the locals when the tourist seem to taper off. You had a pretty big list of stops to make and thankfully there were no lines to wait in. This is a beautiful fall plant and I love the mixture of colors... Your dinner is my kind of meal....
ReplyDeleteI hate busy. I try to get out early and still at times there many folks doing the same. Hope FG rests easier after the infusion.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a pretty perfect day.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure the patrons appreciate shorter wait times, but the businesses may miss the traffic.
ReplyDeleteWe are much, much cooler here and I'm grateful. Also, it sprinkles and splatters once in awhile which is really nice. Blessed we all are.
ReplyDeleteDinner sounds wonderful. I just got home from my Medicare/Annual physical. So much fun. Ha! Praying so much for you guys and for the world. Hopefully my computer will cooperate with me for awhile and I can stick around.
ReplyDeleteBlessings and hugs,
Betsy
Not having to wait is nice. The plant is pretty.
ReplyDeleteWe've had some lovely late summer days this week too. I rarely encounter lines at any of our local businesses during tourist season, but I do notice it's easier to park downtown after Labor Day. We are a college town so the students arrive about the time the tourists go away. LOL Mitchell Technical College has record enrollment this fall at over 1,300 and Dakota Wesleyan University seems to increase every year, and are just over 900 undergrads. I have no idea about grad students.
ReplyDeleteTourist season is over here too, which means there are not three huge cruise ships in the port, and their passengers all trying to see the Farmers Market and the waterfront.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad all is well enough with you and FG.
I can relate to the hush that settles on your town: it happens here when the university students leave for the summer.
