Back at home an old truck sat on one of the corners on the way to town. One day in early December I stopped and took a photo. They have more snow now.
Far Guy and I ran errands yesterday, the weather is above zero...and that is a real treat. Our high yesterday was 15 F or -9 C eh!
I have been catching up on my sleep and yesterday was one of the first days that I have felt almost normal in a couple of weeks.
Far Side
I'm glad you are getting some good rest now.
ReplyDeleteWe are melting here and are supposed to get rain of all things.
I had to look up the 'word' for the New Year and why people do it. Interesting.
I might think about choosing one. Discover? Perhaps.
Enjoy the warm day!
We're buried under a LOT of snow this morning and it's still coming down heavily. Catching up on sleep is good. I never sleep as good when we have a house full of kids and dogs, so Sunday night I went to bed earlier than usual and slept until 9 am. Definitely not my normal pattern.
ReplyDeleteI know how it feels to catch up on missed sleep. It's wonderful! :-)
ReplyDeleteI think normal is overrated!
ReplyDeleteSeriously, we are wondering about a new normal.

Love the old truck!
ReplyDeleteGreat red truck!
ReplyDeleteWe're supposed to have teens for highs all week.
Sleep is a healing thing, for sure.
15 F is still cool but after extremely cold weather it feels better.
ReplyDeleteAn old Cornbinder! (Aka International pickup)
ReplyDeleteI too have trouble sleeping sometimes and those nights when I can sleep mostly through are treasured.
Glad you are feeling better!
Rest as much as you can. You’ve been under a lot of stress, and your body needs to recharge. Take care of yourself.
ReplyDeleteThat's definitely a cool old truck. I'm sure it was a real workhorse.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you are getting some rest. I'm sure these past few weeks have been a roller coaster.
We're just a few degrees cooler than you. I'll take it!
I'm really tired, also. Can't seem to get myself together.
ReplyDeleteWell, glad the temp got to freezing. We’re have nice west here here. I hope your Momma is doing better too.
ReplyDeleteGeez it's cold where you live! You'll find me on the Texas coast at 76*. It's always good to catch up on sleep, especially when it's cold and you can snuggle down in a nice warm blanket or two...or three! Hope you're enjoying a great day. btw, I love old trucks, that is a great picture!
ReplyDeleteOoh! That truck! I love old trucks and especially with Christmas trees in the back. Perfection. It's snowing like crazy here this afternoon. We're heading downstairs to watch a movie at 3:00. "Ticket to Paradise" We've never seen it and it does look good.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you're getting more rest. You need it to keep healthy. Sleep often and crochet. Good medicine. :-)
Blessings and hugs,
Betsy
That's a cool old truck, an International Harvester. Looks like it's still a working truck, with a load of brush.
ReplyDeleteLove the truck. I saw someone selling the shell of an old pick up on Facebook Marketplace in my area - to use as a lawn decoration.
ReplyDeleteI hope you continue to feel better. I didn't know you were under the weather. It was 70 here today....quite a switch from the -2F we had a few weeks ago! It won't last but it will still be in the 50's which isn't bad. Take care of yourself!
ReplyDeleteGreat picture of that old red truck.
ReplyDeleteOne can buy decorations with the Christmas tree in the back. It looks like they are trying to imitate that. The trucks usually are shiny red and that one is not. I can't figure out the brand of the truck with that unusual grill.
ReplyDeleteGlad you're feeling almost normal these days, Connie. Hope far guy is too. Enjoy the warmer temps, while they last!
ReplyDeleteLove old trucks! Good sleep makes everything better.
