Friday

We have a good crop of Acorns this year.

They are littering the ground.

Eating acorns

Far Guy moved the trail cam because we kept seeing deer on the west side of the house.  They visit during the day and at night.

The more they eat the less I have to rake up.

I took my Dad to Bingo last night, he hollered Bingo twice!  He enjoyed his night out.

Chance was happy to see me when I returned home, he likes Far Guy and I to be in the same room if possible. Chance is recovering nicely as far as I can tell.  He went for a extra long walk yesterday.  His bland diet continues as do the medications.

  7. Fun to see your trail cam photos of the deer. I'm all for anything that requires less raking and yard work.

  13. Love the trail cam pictures! It is a blessing to hear Chance is doing well. I understand how he likes you both to be in the same room. Our two cats are the same way about us.

  14. It seems that these days deer will do what ever they want.

  15. I love those baby deer with spots. You're right about the raking. It won't be long. I hope the deer help themselves to anything on the ground. That papa blue bird and baby are so cute, on your last post.

  16. How very cool that you are able to see what is going on at your place at night. We know we have raccoons (they gallop around on the roof), skunk (their nauseating odor drifts in the windows), and possum, but would love to know what else comes through. Unfortunately, no bluebirds used our nest boxes this year. Darn! So pleased to hear that Chance is doing better.

  17. It's nice that the deer are doing some work for you. AND filling up on something other than your flowers. So neat to see the fawn with its spots.

  18. I didn't realize that deer eat acorns. One learns something new every day.

  20. Bingo twice? I would continue to hang out with him...it's bound to rub off! LOL! Glad Chance is on the mend! He's too funny about wanting you both in the same room. Great pics of the deer. I would like one of those cameras but I'm afraid of what I might see around here! LOL!
