June was hanging in there on our 185th day of winter.
June on April 29
On the 186th day of winter June melted. It rained during the night and she shrunk, at noon she was still there but at 4PM she was gone. It was 76F or 24C eh! I hope it wasn’t our one day of summer.
June disappeared on April 30
So we have some winners!
Tired Teacher (Nancy) who guessed April 27 and also those who guessed May 1 diane, Terry and Linda and JoAnnes Ramblings. Please contact me by email captainconnie2001atyahoodotcom and something will be in the mail for you soon!
Just a reminder today is May Day…go ahead make someones day with a basket filled with candy or flowers! I will be back with my May Day report on Wednesday. My little May Baskets are all set to be delivered.
I always love checking in to see your May Day baskets!
ReplyDeleteThose baskets are beautiful! Hopefully good weather is in store for you for a good long while!
ReplyDeleteHappy May Day! Your baskets are lovely and so thoughtful. Are you going to miss June? LOL! It's heating up down here...80's now. I washed screens outside yesterday and I was warm! But no humidity yet so that's a plus. Enjoy your Spring!
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice surprise, no more snowbank after this looooong winter. So you can start May fresh! Happy May Day!
ReplyDeleteHappy May Day. Have fun delivering your baskets. Happy to hear that "June" finally melted. Our Spring here was very short. Temps are already hitting the mid to high 70's. Enjoy the snow free days.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful baskets - Happy May Day! I am happy that June is gone! Have a wonderful day!
ReplyDeleteI look forward to your May basket post. And congratulations to the winners who predicted June's demise! :-)
ReplyDeleteHappy May Day! Your baskets look so special. You are so organized.
ReplyDeleteYes we wee 81 degrees and I thought Minnesota is basking in the sun. That was amazing how fast the snow bank left but at that temp it would. I always say we have about three good days of California weather and then it gets hot. I mowed spots yesterday in the afternoon when it was 81 degrees and that was so strange.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your snow-free yard and the warm sunshine. Happy May Day!
ReplyDeleteYou are certainly on my mind this morning, May Day. I just referred to you in my post.
ReplyDeleteJune's demise is most welcome, I'm sure. Now for some greening up around there. Let May bust out all over!
Yay! The snow is gone! I'm looking forward to seeing your May day report. And MOST of all Thank you for Terry and I being a winner!!!
ReplyDeleteHugs
Have you ever told us why you call your snow bank June? If you have, I'm sorry I missed your explanation but would love to know.
ReplyDeleteBecause I was sure she wouldn't melt until June:)
DeleteReally? Can that happen? Thanks
DeleteCongrats to the lucky winner.
ReplyDeleteHappy May Day to you, FG and Chance! I am glad June did not stick around until June. (even though I guessed a June date) Congratulations to the winners!
ReplyDeleteI guess June didn't like her name! Amazing how fast that big pile of snow disappeared. Time now for everything to green up :-)
ReplyDeleteNever heard of May Day, don't know what it is or anything about it but I am here on this somewhat cold May Day
ReplyDeleteI could still find the odd snowbank here. Have lots of fun on May Day.
ReplyDeleteI love the line-up of May baskets!
