Cloudy

It was clear most of the day yesterday until moonrise…no Supermoon photos for me. Beautiful clouds at sunset

Chance and I went for a ride whilst Far Guy had a nap. Down at the corner we sat waiting to see if the clouds would part for the moon…no such luck.  I had to be content with the lesser clouds to the south.  Sunset really happens fast now a days.

This is what it looked like through the many trees at home before we left.  Cotton Candy colored skies!

The “S” word has been mentioned toward the end of the week.  We will see…perhaps it will be liquid instead of frozen.

  1. Good Morning, The cotton candy skies are beautiful. Oh no on the S word! It is difficult for us to get accustomed to the time change!

  2. It was cloudy here also, so no super moon for me either. I did see it come up tho and it was pretty. Sure hope you don't see any "s..." anytime soon.

  3. It was cloudy and rainy here, but once the moon got high in the sky, the clouds broke and I could see it. Not very spectacular by then.

  6. I did see the moon after it was up for a while, but it wasn't very exciting ;-) I guess best viewed when it is first rising. Hoping your 'S' will be liquid. We are getting a lot of that liquid 's' here.

  7. Night skies are frustrating. Northern lights come when they want and to top it all off it can be cloudy.

  8. Lovely sky shots! We didn't see the supermoon either because of the clouds... All our snow is now melting away - I'm so sad!

  10. That last pic is exquisite! A definite keeper for cards or the calendar contest for your area - - - if they are doing that again this year. That pic is also "worthy of framing" as the commercial says - - - but what was that commercial for???!!!

  11. Lovely photos .Oh that's a shame you had to many clouds to see the super moon that sucks . I got lucky we had lots of clouds and then all of a sudden they seemed to part just for the moon so I could get a few shots . YIKES ! The 'S' word we may get some wet 'S' word next week but it has been sunny and warm for this month so far . Thanks for sharing , Have a good day !

  13. I had to go out on to the street to be able to see the moon. First time I went there were too many clouds but later I did see it but high in the sky/ Don't know if that was the reason it didn't look all that bright. I did see some great pictures that others had taken though.

  14. We were out driving yesterday evening and saw a glow coming through the cloud cover and commented "So much for the super moon". Lots of rain here overnight.

  15. Your "S" is going to stay north of us but I am sure we will get cold enough for it to get white. I can still work outside if the white stuff isn't falling.

  16. There has been so much going on around here lately that I don't know whether I'm coming or going. I did catch a glimpse of the moon outside a window that night, noticed it was bright, but didn't think more of it until now. Wish I could put it all on rewind and go back and take a better look at what I saw. No clouds here, so it would have been a great shot if I were a photography type.

  17. No moon photos here either. Last night it did shine in the bedroom window but I decided it had played coy with me enough and now it was my turn to not come out and play😋
