Just before it became officially spring at 5:45 PM. It snowed. Winter never got Spring’s memo. The memo was probably something like this “ Get the #&%* out.”
Chance was not real happy with me. I made him go outside just to take a photo. If he could have scowled or stuck out his tongue he would have.
The snow melted as soon as it hit the ground. As you can see we have many different shades of brown in our yard. No green no flowers. Not very spring like.
This little bunny rabbit was balanced on the wreath outside the door. He was a garage sale find a few years ago. He replaced the red lights and the snowman that said “welcome”.
I think Far Chance is saying "Oh! BAD Word!" :)
ReplyDeleteAnd so was I yesterday, we got 6 inches of snow... and this was a day after it was 52 degrees F outside!
Chance does look a little grumpy, doesn't he? I think the weird weather is gonna stay weird for awhile. :-)
ReplyDeletePoor Chance, he looks pretty disgusted with you. So sorry to see that you have snow once again, as I know those of you in the North are fed up with it. Cute bunny on the wreath.
ReplyDeleteNo snow here, thankfully, and all but the large piles in some parking lots have finally melted.
ReplyDeleteI saw a Robin yesterday hopping around the yard. I'm sure he and the Mrs. we're scoping out nesting sites.
Oh oh!!!!! Nice the snow melted as it fell, here none. Love the bunny in the wreath, sweet.Blessings Francine.
ReplyDeleteHa, ha, Chance's expression made me laugh. My dog always looks the other way when I try to take his photo. Hope you get some spring like weather now that it's officially spring.
ReplyDeleteJust before the arrival of spring here my husband saw the first alligator of spring.
ReplyDeleteWe had a snowy start to spring here in NJ as well. We got 3-4 inches, which stuck to everything -- and it didn't melt as quickly as predicted. It's still out there! I like your bunny in the wreath.
ReplyDeleteSnow, snow, go away come again some other day!

Go away snow! I hope spring arrives soon- Chance needs a good romp in the sunshine! We have flood ed rivers and streams here. Looking for just a ray or two of sunshine for birthday parties this afternoon. Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteMuch as I dislike snow when the calendar says "spring," I hope we get some more to provide moisture and maybe protect against too-early thawing. But yes, when it happens I will be grumbling just like Chance.
ReplyDeleteYes, I was glad the snow did not stay. The bunny fits perfectly in the wreath. I will be taking my wreath down now as you just reminded me of my Christmas one. We don't use the door so I have to just go and get it down. Chance has some choice words for you. I really like the expressions border collies put out.
ReplyDeleteHere in central MN there is a forecast for some kind of snow tomorrow and maybe also Monday. I hope we get more than flurries because we have not had enough snow this winter and the moisture is needed for farms and water tables. But at least there won't be that terrible flooding this Spring when the snow starts melting in the North.

That's a bummer. More waiting for spring. the same thing happened here . It snowed last night.
ReplyDeleteWe had Spring, and now we have Monsoon season.
ReplyDeleteI think I would of stuck out my tongue at ya to lol ! Glad the snow melted as soon as it hit the ground means the land has warmed up to ! Rain for us today melting the last bits of snow we have thank goodness but springs arrival here yesterday for us was mild and sunny ! . Thanks for sharing nice photos ! Have a good weekend !
ReplyDeleteChance got his point across quite well without a word. So funny. One to four inches of white spring here tomorrow. Just when the first crocus appeared today. Not fair!
ReplyDeleteChance has "the look!!!" I do love your bunny wreath!
ReplyDeleteyes, I have been thinking of my eastern friends today, as we enjoy real spring and you are plunged back into winter.
ReplyDeleteEven Miss Karma has been anxious for spring this year with the sounds of geese and we saw a couple swallows a few days ago--who must be freezing their little butts off right now. ;)
