That warm spell was sure nice, it is long gone now and I miss the warmth.
It was almost picnic weather and I had a hankering for Potato Salad. In fact I mentioned it as a possibility for Easter Dinner. Far Guy looked at me like I was nuts.
We are back to 40’s F or 4 C eh! Not exactly picnic weather.
I have a few new projects in the works and I spent one nice afternoon in the woodshop. It is warm in there on sunny days. I have a picnic table out there I suppose I could have my picnic there.
Of course no new projects are finished. I suppose I should think about concentrating on one project at a time instead of many.
I tried my hand at folding a Origami Basket. Although I am a paper hoarder person, I did not have Origami Paper…but the local Ben Franklin did. I think I suck at all crafts where you must be exact…like sewing and paper folding…eyeballing something just doesn’t work. I will get one basket all properly folded before I give up…unless I run out of Origami Paper. I had hoped that the baskets would be large enough for May Baskets…but they are not. I have another idea that may work but so far it is only in my brain.
I was with you on wanting a picnic! And . . . origami basket troubles? Sorry. I haven't had the time to try it yet.
ReplyDeleteI too would love to have a picnic. I don't see anything wrong with having potato salad for Easter dinner. Thought it went with everything cuz it has potatoes in it. Never tried Origami, I don't see well enough for all the exactness required.
ReplyDeleteYou are always trying something new. You got me started with the May baskets thing, years ago now. :-)
ReplyDeleteOrigami is NOT my thing either - too fussy.
ReplyDeleteIt's been dreary here, but The sun has been shining two days in a row, and that makes me very happy.
Love a picnic!!!! Dreary here today but has been nice and sunny.Blessings Francine.
ReplyDeleteSad and too bad. All of it.
ReplyDeleteIt’ll work next time.
I made potato salad a week ago, but, then it was 80º here.
ReplyDeletePotato salad at Easter and many other holidays was a staple at my in-laws' home. They made mashed potato salad - - mixing it by hand with the eggs, mayo, pickle relish, etc when the potatoes were hot off the stove. Sometimes we even ate it warm. Not exactly what I was used to growing up but was very pleasantly surprised how delicious it was - - even warm. My thought is you cook what makes you happy - - - even if the potato salad is an extra side dish! And even if you eat it before Easter and at Easter, too!
ReplyDeleteWell, at least it's above freezing, right? ;-)
ReplyDeleteI'm not good at exact stuff either. Sigh!

I have a lovely origami paper swan folded for me by a dear friend from Okinawa, and I treasure it.
ReplyDeleteEven though the nice weather is gone it was very much appreciated. We will get more and you will have picnics.
ReplyDeletePotato salad is always on the menu for Easter here. Like you, I was craving potato salad so I made a bowl full last week...I love it! Poppy and I ate every bite. Of course, I ate more bites than he did.
ReplyDeletePotato salad definitely says summer to me. I used to have indoor picnics with my kids on a blanket on the living room floor. If you get too anxious, you could always try that!
ReplyDeleteOh Potato salad sounds good . It is chilly here again but the sun has been shining every day and tomorrow it is to hit +8C eh ? I am the same way when it comes to crafts, I am all thumbs lol ! Thanks for sharing , Have a good day !
ReplyDeleteI always seem to have several projects going at the same time--if nowhere else than in my head--LOL! Got quite nippy out again but it's only March. Nature was just taunting us. ;)
