28 and a robin

We had a couple of Robins in our yard on Wednesday.  Far Guy was calling for them.  I saw them but did not have my camera.

Yesterday I saw them and my camera was handy.

One on the left and one hiding in the shadows.

On our way to town the willows are showing their first yellow hue.

I picked up the grocery order from Wally World and then went to the other grocery store in town for things that were not available while Far Guy had his weekly infusion.

Supper: Ham, turkey and cheese on flat bread..our version of a sub:)

Minnesota weather:  The car said it was 74F on our way home.  High 79F or 26C  Low was 32F or 0C.

Happy 28th Birthday to our Granddaughter Maddie!  Love you lots!

  2. Happy Birthday to Maddie! Beautiful setting for that beautiful woman.
One thing I don't understand about W.M. When we order online, it says it has it in stock - - - - but you don't find out until about an hour before the order that it is not.
We truly are blessed at the abundance available to us in our towns and cities though. I have just read another WW2 book. The only reason some survived is only by God's strength. Even if you were just an only citizen, if it was an occupied town in Europe, there still was not food. Very thankful for the time period in which we were born.

  3. Happy birthday to Maddie! I watched a robin struggle with a worm in it's mouth just a couple days ago. We've had a lot of black birds around lately, and they chase the littler birds away from the feeders. I've been hearing cardinals but haven't seen any recently. They stay all winter, but also stay away from the feeders if black birds are around.

  4. Happy Birthday to beautiful Maddie! Such a great photo of her. I've see robins for a few weeks here. Ever since we got back from Texas. It was 77F when I woke up this morning. Three hours later it's 45F! What's going on? Only springtime in Nebraska of course! Ha! I hope your Friday is a wonderful one my friend.
    Blessings and hugs,
    Betsy

  5. Happy Birthday to Maddie! I bet she enjoyed her time in Costa Rica.
We've got robins here, in fact the tree across the back was full of them this morning. Poor birds, we had 15 inches of snow so there isn't a whole lot to eat for the moment.
