Threads

Embroidery threads are part of my recent days.

I brought ten dish towels with me to be embroidered over the Winter.  Five are done...so I am making progress.  Slow but sure.

Far Guy is doing good...he is back on the treadmill and doing at least 5,000 steps a day.  He has his sense of humor back and that is a relief.  We are waiting for the genetic testing to come back on his Thyroid Nodule biopsy.  He has two nodules inside his Thyroid...one is benign and the other is questionable hence the extra testing that takes weeks.

We had breakfast for supper..we all cooked!

Minnesota weather: High 42F or 6C  Low was 32F or 0C eh!

  1. We had breakfast for supper last night too. The wind is howling this morning, and did all night long. But the snow stayed north of us. It's possible we'll get some snow tomorrow but hoping it isn't enough to keep us from going to watch region girls wrestling tomorrow evening.

  2. We're under a fire watch advisory today. I can't recall the last time we've been under one but it has been a good many years.

  3. I have some threads as well! I pulled out my floss to experiment with embroidery which will be incorporated into a quilt by the end of the year. Embroidery has never really been my thing. Good for you - show us the dish towels sometime! Good luck for Far Guy. I'm so glad he has a sense of humor again. It's hard to live with a grumpy guy! (Ask me how I know!)

  4. Great news about FG regarding the treadmill and humor! Hopefully he will hear about the biopsy soon and can proceed forward. If he does have to have another surgery, generally the thyroid doesn't need chemo or radiation? Just Levothyroxine pills afterwards to replace the hormone. Time will tell. Enjoy today and face tomorrow when it gets here. About the snow - - praying you keep power and don't have to go outside at all. Poor Sadie - - guess that is difficult for her. We had a friend who had a small dog. They planted a box of grass that it could use in a covered area - - but again - - it was a very small dog.

  5. Hope you are all set for the storm. We have had more snow down here than we usually get and we still have the rest of February and March to go.

My daughter said the storm arrived at home last night and is expected to continue until evening today before it moves on. Lots and lots of snow.

  19. Love breakfast for supper. I would love to make more tea towels but it's difficult when no one seems to use them much anymore. So glad to hear Far Guy is doing so much better. Good for him in getting on the treadmill for those steps. That's better than what I've been doing.
We're supposed to get about 3 inches of snow tomorrow but I hope not. We'll see. It's sure going to get a LOT colder than it has been with single digits. It's been in the 60's and 70's for the last week or so. My arthritis is killing me today so I know things are changing. We're still hoping to go camping next week if it warms up again.
    Blessings and hugs,
    Betsy
