Roses

Andy gave Jen roses for Valentine's Day!

They are lovely and smell good too.

Monday appointments are done, I had a recheck with my Primary Care Dr and then in the afternoon I saw the Pain Management Doctor.  They want to try one more injection in my back before trying a implantable device.

What ever lets just get this show on the road.  FYI it was a two month wait just to get to see the Pain Management Doctor.

I have one more appointment this week and Far Guy has two.

We have wicked weather coming in soon.  I suspect our February thaw and nice weather with bearable temperatures is over.

  1. What beautiful roses!
And finally, at the pain specialist. Let's hope the injection works, and if not, that you don't have to wait so long again for one of those implants.
Wishing you both lots of strength, including the weather.
    Kind regards!

  3. I’m sorry to read about your back pain. I have scoliosis (had surgery to implant a rod a hundred years ago) and know how wearing it can be. Hope you find relief. Winter is blowing back in for us today too.

  5. Yikes - a person shouldn't have to wait that long to see a doctor in this country. My fingers are crossed that the injection works this time.

  6. I hope your appointments finish before the snow starts. I guess I shouldn't tell you that the snow crocus bloomed this week and the daffodils are beginning to show their sunshine which will be in abundance probably by the end of the week. Regarding the implantable device - - I don't know many who have it but I have heard good results from it.

  7. I hope the injection helps. It worked for me, but not for my hubby. We are expecting another cold snap, but luckily it won't be as low or for as long as period of time as our last one. And, it certainly won't compare to your weather at all! Stay warm and safe!

  8. Pretty roses! I tend to think the lovely aroma is Nature's way to compensate for the thorns, though the florists strip those off the stems.
I hope the pain management doc is able to help with your chronic pain. Good luck with the remainder of the appointments, and I hope the weather isn't as bad as the forecast.

  11. There are long waits for all medical appointments everywhere. Everyone is understaffed.
The predicted rain/snow mix hasn't happened, at least yet, and the sky is the clearest, brightest blue. I'm back from my dental appointment and I'll leave soon for the park to get my walk in. This afternoon I have a haircut appointment.
It's been over three months now and the injection I had in my hip is still working. They just had to get the right spot. Good luck.

  12. I love the sweet smell of roses... Jens roses are so pretty!! I just filled out my calendar for the rest of the months appointments as well as the month of March. goodness, it's a good thing that we do not work now days. We wouldn't be able to keep a job for all the days we would have to miss for appointments. I hope that whatever the doctor chooses to do, that you get the relief you need. Isn't it ridiculous how long the waits are now days to get in to see a doctor.

  13. Red roses are the most beautiful. I carried a bouquet when we married.
I sure hope the injection helps. And that the harsh weather isn't as bad as forecast.

  14. We have terrible weather. A blizzard with lots of snow and wind. Lots of drifted snow.

  16. The roses are beautiful. I hope you can get things done more quickly. It does take a long time doesn't it? My CT scan in tomorrow and then I hope the doctor gets back with me in a timely manner so we can figure out our March plans. It's been so nice here that we've been thinking of just going to the nearby state park for a week or two, but just today it was 74F and Thursday is supposed to snow! Our nice weather may be over too. We'll have to see.
    Blessings and hugs,
    Betsy
