A first

I enjoyed a first.  I know everyone has most likely done this before.

I do not drink coffee.  However I do drink hot chocolate!  The Eye Doctor that we go to has a Starbucks machine...who knew.

The hot chocolate was really good.  Yes there is a Starbucks in town but I have never been there...who needs one when you can just go to the eye Doctor!

Now if Starbucks had good old egg coffee I might be tempted to go there.  I gave up coffee when my blood pressure when out of whack and to avoid the medications... it worked for a few years until it didn't.

Far Side

  3. I've never drank coffee but maybe once or twice a year, I'll make a hot cocoa to enjoy. They even make k-pods of hot cocoa to go with our machine.

  4. Star bucks can be expensive, so good for you getting your hot chocolate for free. Or..at least it makes us feel good to say it's free. I'm sure along the way the cost is added into the doctor's fees. I've not had there hot chocolate but I might need to give it a try.

  5. Can't beat a good cup of hot chocolate! I'm not a fan of Starbuck's coffee, as I think it's bitter. But I do like their hot chocolate. We have Starbucks here in town and several local coffee shops, but since I only drink 1 or sometimes 2 cups of coffee a day, I have my coffee at home. Although I do like to go to a little local bakery, but I order hot chocolate there too. LOL

  6. I'm not a Starbucker, either. One of my children gave me a gift card. There's a Starbucks a block from my apartment but I ended up regifting that card. Maybe I should have tried their hot chocolate. I can't stand coffee!!

  8. I rarely go into a Starbucks. While I do drink coffee occasionally, I find their brew bitter with an aftertaste I don't like. Plus their prices tend to be higher than other coffee shops. Glad the hot chocolate was good!

  9. As you might know, I love Starbucks lattes, but I don't have them very often, so they are a treat when I do indulge. At home I drink decaf coffee with microwaved milk.

  10. Okay. So I had to look up egg coffee. It sounds like quite a production to make what with beating egg yolks with sweetener condensed milk!!! I doubt I'd be brave enough to try it.

  13. With a few exceptions, I didn't drink coffee until I retired. I'm trying to lay off of it now, but I like the ritual of having warm beverage to wake up with in the morning.

  14. I was impressed when my dad's dentist had a keurig coffee maker in the waiting room. But Starbucks, wow! We switched from coffee to half caff and now to decaf. But I am afraid I will be downgraded to plain hot water soon.

  15. Dennis is the coffee drinker here and he does NOT like Starbucks coffee. He does, however, like McDonalds coffee and it's much, much cheaper if we're out and about. The only think I like at Starbucks is hot chocolate although I don't even remember the last time I had it.
    Good for your eye doctor.
    Blessings and hugs,
    Betsy
