Too cold...

to snow.  Yes, it can be too cold to snow.  Too cold to go outside...for people.  Sadie manages to lounge out on the deck and get a good roll in the snow when ever she feels like it!

This is the drop zone...the place where we stack up mail forAndy and Jen,  Doggie Daycare did the photo of Sadie for Christmas.

Saturday activities...Far Guy did some woodcarving.  I did some watercoloring on some stamped cards.  Far Guy managed most of supper we had chili and grilled cheese...he is a great prep cook and had everything ready for me to toast the sandwiches after I finished my nap.  He is now watching Hockey and I will join him soon. We pet Sadie...I may put her on the treadmill again tonight so she gets a walk!  Thursday night she refused my suggestion, Friday she was anxious to get going on the treadmill as I showed her a treat in my pocket.  She reminds us when it is 5 PM and we should feed her...same thing at 8PM when she gets a treat and a second supper.  She will be happy when her people get back from their travels.

Minnesota weather: High -3F or -19C Low was -30F or -34C eh!

Stay warm!

  1. I don't blame her. I'm more likely to go for a walk too if I know a treat follows!

  6. Our pets may not be able to read a clock, but they certainly have an internal clock of their own. Sadie also has a lovely fur coat to keep her warm when she's outdoors. Though I expect her foot pats get a little chilled.
    Stay warm and dry!

  8. My dog doesn't waste any time outdoors now. Thank goodness it looks like the snow is going to miss us this time. I'm worried about my family in Toronto though. Our propane furnace crapped out at dinner hour yesterday. We were scrambling but managed to get it temporarily sorted in time for beddy by!

  9. I think the only word to describe the weather is pure misery.

  10. It's good weather for chili! We tried to teach our Aussie to walk/trot on the treadmill. He never accepted it.

  11. It got all the way up to 9 above here yesterday, and the wind wasn't blowing. It felt nearly tropical. LOL We ventured out to watch a couple of grandkids' activities and did a little shopping. Felt good to get out of the house for something other than grocery shopping.

  13. That’s frigid! Our high today was 25 at 7:00 this morning and has stayed at 23 most of the day with a wind chill of 14. That’s cold for us! Thankfully we got only a little freezing rain when the thunderstorm came through at 4:00 this morning. A couple of degrees colder and it would have been disastrous. We were without power for nine hours on Friday night and Saturday morning due to a car hitting a pole. So glad that was before the big freeze! RHill, TX
