Monday stuff

Lots of odds and ends filled the day.  Photo sorting, some online work trying to straighten a couple of idiots things out, a bit of organizing and cooking.   I made boneless pork chops, smashed Yukon gold potatoes, green beans, coleslaw and raspberries.  The green beans from Aldi were awesome! Fresh in a microwave bag...very tasty for those of us who like green beans.

Weather is mild for January.  High was 36F or 2C the low was 34F or 1C eh! Nice! The icy deck out back got all dried off!

Tuesday is appointment day as Far Guy has three appointments.

Andy has returned to teaching and Jen went to Maddie and Brentons to take care of Peach because she was not feeling good enough to go to daycare, she had a slight temperature.

  1. Not much happening here either, luckily the snow and ice are gone and I can safely make my way to the women's association tonight (as a taxi for an even older woman than me)

  2. I hope little Peach feels much better today....So nice to have family who helps each other out..My daughters and Mylee Jo started back to school last week. The Colorado crew had to wait a few days longer because of heavy snow. Be safe traveling out for the appointments today...

  4. We have never had good luck with produce from Aldi. We were just talking about it too, because we needed some fresh veggies, and the selections at another grocery store were terrible. I told my husband, this is why I freeze, can and dehydrate over the summer garden months, and we could not do as much this past year.

  6. We just had those fresh green beans on Sunday, they were really good. Three appointments in one day, that's a lot. I'm glad you got a little break in the weather. It was above freezing here yesterday, like 35, and if felt like spring.

  7. I like the photo you chose.

I’ll look for the green beans at Aldis. I love green beans.

Glad your January is milder. Your temps don’t show-it for me. Ours is milder too.

  8. Yum! Now you've made me hungry for green beans. They should go great with the meat loaf I plan to make for supper tonight. Our back deck dried off too. We've seen no sunshine, but the temps stay in the 40s most of day. And this morning it's in the 50s. How crazy is that!!

  12. Mild weather here too, currently 55 degrees at 10:15 in the morning. All the ski resort snow will be melting. :-( Good for walking, though, if I can fit it into my day.

  14. Sounds like more busy times for all of you. Your supper sounds delish. We love green beans. Getting colder here tomorrow and some below zeros too. Need to speed up this month....it's taking forever to get through it. Take good care, friends.
